Legal

Terms of Service, Privacy, Acceptable Use, and Refund Policy for ProductJobs.io. Last updated May 20, 2026.

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms govern your use of ProductJobs.io and the related job-board properties operated under the ProductJobs.io brand (collectively, the “Service”). By accessing the Service, posting a job, applying to a job, or paying for any product offered through the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

ProductJobs.io is an online jobs marketplace. Employers and recruiters (“Customers”) post paid job listings; jobseekers browse listings and apply to them directly with the Customer. The Service may also aggregate publicly available job listings from third-party sources for discovery purposes. We do not act as an employer, recruiter, agent, or staffing service. We are not party to any employment relationship that may arise between Customers and jobseekers.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old and legally able to enter into binding contracts to use the Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you are authorised to bind that organisation to these Terms.

4. Job Postings & Customer Content

Customers are solely responsible for the content of their job postings, including job descriptions, company information, contact details, salary ranges, and application URLs (“Customer Content”). Customer Content must be accurate, lawful, and refer to a genuine, currently open employment or contracting opportunity. We may, at our sole discretion and without notice, edit, reject, suspend, or remove any posting that we believe violates these Terms or that we determine, in good faith, is misleading, unlawful, low-quality, or otherwise unsuitable for the Service.

5. Pricing & Payments

Prices for paid job postings and optional add-ons (such as pinning, featured placement, or background colour) are displayed on the posting form before checkout. All prices are in US Dollars unless explicitly stated otherwise and exclude any taxes that may apply in your jurisdiction.

Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. By submitting a payment you authorise us, via Stripe, to charge the payment method you provide for the full amount displayed at checkout. We do not store full payment card numbers on our servers. Your use of the Stripe payment flow is additionally subject to Stripe’s own terms and privacy notice.

A paid job posting becomes live on the Service immediately or shortly after successful payment is confirmed. Add-ons take effect at the same time as the underlying posting unless described otherwise on the posting form.

6. Refunds & Cancellation

Paid job postings and add-ons are digital services that begin delivery as soon as the listing is published. As a general rule, payments are non-refundable once a posting has gone live.

We do, however, want Customers to feel fairly treated. We may, at our sole discretion, issue a full or partial refund in exceptional circumstances — for example, where a posting failed to publish due to a verifiable technical fault on our side, where a payment was charged twice in error, or where you can demonstrate that you were charged without authorisation. To request a refund, contact [email protected] within 14 days of the charge with your order details. We aim to respond within 5 business days.

To the extent permitted by law, by completing a paid posting you acknowledge that performance of the digital service begins immediately upon publication and you waive any statutory right of withdrawal or “cooling-off” period that would otherwise apply.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to post, transmit, or facilitate:

  • Fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading job opportunities, including “jobs” that are in reality multi-level-marketing schemes, pyramid schemes, paid-training programmes, or pay-to-work arrangements.
  • Listings that require an applicant to pay a fee, purchase equipment, or send money in order to be considered for the role.
  • Listings that discriminate on the basis of race, colour, religion, national origin, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability, marital status, veteran status, or any other protected characteristic, except where such criteria are explicitly permitted by applicable law.
  • Adult-industry roles, escort services, gambling-industry roles in jurisdictions where they are unlawful, or any role that would require the worker to engage in illegal activity.
  • Content that infringes any third-party intellectual property right, right of privacy, or right of publicity.
  • Malware, phishing, scraping at rates intended to disrupt the Service, automated bulk-account creation, or any attempt to bypass technical or security controls.
  • Spam, unsolicited advertising for unrelated products, or duplicate listings designed to inflate visibility.

We may remove any content and suspend or terminate any account that we believe, in good faith, has breached this section, with or without prior notice.

8. Accounts & Security

Some features require an account or a magic-link verification of your email address. You are responsible for the activity on any account or login link associated with your email, for keeping your credentials confidential, and for promptly notifying us of any suspected unauthorised use. We are not liable for any loss arising from your failure to keep your account secure.

9. License You Grant Us

You retain ownership of any content you submit to the Service. By submitting content (including job postings, company descriptions, and logos), you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive, sublicensable licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt, publish, translate, distribute, and display that content for the purpose of operating, promoting, and improving the Service — including across the related niche job boards we operate, in search engines, in social-media previews, in email digests, and in our APIs.

This licence ends when you delete the content or close the listing, except that we may retain reasonable archival copies, anonymised analytics, and any cached or aggregated copies that are infeasible to remove.

10. Our Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, layout, text, graphics, logos, and the curated organisation of listings, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. Nothing in these Terms transfers any of those rights to you. You may not copy, modify, frame, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works of the Service except as expressly permitted by these Terms or by applicable law.

11. Privacy & Data

We collect and process limited personal data in order to operate the Service. This typically includes:

  • The email address you provide when posting a job or signing in, used to manage your listings and to send transactional notifications.
  • Job-posting content you submit.
  • Payment metadata returned by Stripe (such as the last four digits of the card and the country) — never the full card number.
  • Standard server logs, including IP address, user agent, and request timestamps, used for security, abuse prevention, and aggregate analytics.
  • Cookies and similar identifiers as described in Section 12.

We do not sell personal data. We share personal data only with service providers who help us run the Service (such as Stripe for payments, our hosting and email providers, and Cloudflare for content delivery and abuse mitigation), and only as needed for those services to function.

You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct inaccurate data, or ask us to delete your data, by emailing [email protected]. We will respond within a reasonable period and, where required by applicable law, within the period specified by that law. Note that we may retain certain records (for example, billing records) where we have a legal obligation to do so, or as needed to defend a legal claim.

12. Cookies

We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies. These include strictly necessary cookies (for example, to keep you signed in, to remember your CSRF token, and to enable Cloudflare’s security checks) and may include analytics cookies that help us understand how the Service is used in aggregate. Where required by law, we will request your consent before placing any non-essential cookie. You can clear cookies at any time through your browser settings; doing so may sign you out and disable certain features.

13. Third-Party Services & Links

The Service relies on third-party services including Stripe (payments), Cloudflare (content delivery), our hosting provider, email-sending providers, and various analytics and infrastructure services. The Service also contains links to third-party websites, including the “apply” URLs supplied by Customers. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, accuracy, availability, or practices of any third-party site or service, and your use of them is at your own risk and subject to their own terms.

14. Disclaimers

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We make no representation or warranty about the accuracy, completeness, or legality of any job posting, Customer, or jobseeker. Decisions about hiring, applying, or otherwise relying on the Service remain your own.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event will we be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, or data, arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred US Dollars (US$100).

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable law.

16. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless ProductJobs.io, its operators, agents, and contractors, from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to (i) your violation of these Terms, (ii) your Customer Content, (iii) your use of the Service, or (iv) your infringement of any third-party right.

17. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause and with or without notice, including (without limitation) if we believe you have breached these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including the licence you grant us for content already published, the disclaimers, the limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law) will survive.

18. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will use reasonable means to notify you, such as a notice on the Service or an email to the address associated with your account. Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

19. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms, and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them or your use of the Service, are governed by the laws applicable at the place of residence of the operator of the Service, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Where you are a consumer, this clause does not deprive you of the protection of any mandatory consumer-protection laws of the country in which you reside.

Before bringing any formal legal action, you agree to first contact us at [email protected] and to attempt to resolve the dispute in good faith for a period of at least 30 days.

20. Contact

If you have any question about these Terms, want to exercise a privacy right, or wish to report a violation of the Acceptable Use policy, please email [email protected].
