Anduril Industries is hiring a Staff Product Manager for Sustainment Solutions to lead the digital portfolio that keeps fielded systems mission-ready, spanning operations planning, fleet management, maintenance execution, reliability and FRACAS, and customer support capabilities.
Role scope
This position owns the product strategy and roadmap for sustainment planning and the systems that support day-to-day execution in the field. The role also establishes the operating model, manages stakeholder relationships, and drives the execution strategy across sustainment planning, fleet management and reliability tooling, field maintenance execution workflows, and the customer service desk and portal.
Responsibilities
- Own the sustainment systems strategy and roadmap across operations planning, fleet management, maintenance execution, reliability / FRACAS, customer support, and more.
- Lead and grow a cross-functional team delivering, operating, and improving these systems, including product managers, software engineers, application engineers, and embedded builders from across the sustainment org.
- Partner with field operations, maintainers, ProdOps, supply chain, engineering, and business lines to identify real constraints and build appropriate workflows, not just surface-level requests.
- Create durable mechanisms for intake, prioritization, roadmap management, and stakeholder alignment without slowing the organization into a process-heavy environment.
- Drive tooling standardization across business lines where applicable, while allowing other business lines to diverge and build alternatives tailored to their use cases.
- Convert complex field problems into clear system designs, phased execution plans, and measurable readiness outcomes.
- Advance two expansion bets: an engineering feedback loop that turns field and FRACAS data into design changes, and sparing or inventory approaches that support mission readiness as sustainment operations scale into full MRO.
- Treat data quality, system reliability, integration design, access controls, auditability, and support models as first-class product requirements.
- Apply AI, automation, and workflow redesign to reduce manual coordination and increase effectiveness for maintainers, planners, and support teams.
Requirements
- 7+ years working in and leading technology teams supporting complex physical operations such as maintenance, field service, fleet management, logistics, manufacturing, or warehousing.
- Strong understanding of one or more areas including maintenance and reliability, fleet or asset management, sustainment planning, spares and inventory planning, or field service operations.
- A demonstrated track record addressing cross-functional operational problems where the solution required multiple system, team, or process changes.
- Strong product judgment, including the ability to differentiate local workarounds from durable platform capabilities and to decide when to deliver pragmatic improvements versus investing in scalable capabilities.
- Comfort operating with ambiguity, making decisions with incomplete information and adapting as new facts emerge.
- High agency, including taking ownership of dependencies without waiting for complete clarification or a perfect roadmap.
- Sufficient depth to maintain quality without becoming a bottleneck or a micromanager.
- A builder mindset, including customizing, integrating, automating, and redesigning workflows to materially improve mission outcomes.
What success looks like
- Planners and fleet managers have a single trusted view of what is down, what is at risk, what is constrained, and what decision comes next.
- Maintenance execution in the field is structured and connected, and continues to work in offline and classified environments.
- Field and failure data flows back into engineering, enabling design changes informed by what breaks and operationalizing those changes into the fleet.
- Sparing and inventory are no longer the bottleneck to readiness.
- Sustainment systems are connected end to end so an incident can move from detection through diagnosis, planning, execution, and closure within the platform.
- The team is recognized for measurable readiness and cost impact, rather than solely launches, ticket closure, or uptime metrics.
Team and job context
Anduril’s ArsenalOS team builds the digital infrastructure that powers how Anduril designs, sources, manufactures, delivers, and sustains hardware at scale. The team is not a traditional internal IT organization; it builds, buys, customizes, integrates, and operates the systems that help Anduril’s physical operations move faster, improve reliability, and scale.
This Staff Product Manager role is focused on the digital workflows that enable field maintainers, planners, fleet managers, supply chain, and business lines to win. The role involves owning the roadmap, operating model, stakeholder relationships, and execution strategy for systems including the sustainment planning engine, fleet management and reliability tooling (asset tracking and FRACAS), field maintenance execution, and the customer service desk and portal. The role is not intended to simply “own the CMMS” or “run the service desk.”
