Join Samsung Research America’s Digital Health team as a product management leader building the next generation of Software as a Medical Device (SaMD). This onsite role in Mountain View, CA supports an agile, multi-disciplinary group designing and developing digital health products, services, and solutions that help consumers, patients, clinicians, and developers leverage smartphones, wearables, medical devices, and IoTs to improve health and wellness.
In this position, you will help expand exercise coaching within Samsung Health while shaping product requirements, vision, and delivery for regulated medical device offerings. Samsung SaMD products span health areas such as cardiac, sleep, and hearing health, creating opportunities to build impact across multiple digital health domains.
What you’ll do
- Lead end-to-end product management: identify market opportunity and user needs, form product vision and strategy, build and manage the roadmap, and develop product definitions and business cases.
- Set and monitor goals and KPIs, using competitive positioning to guide product decisions and ongoing execution.
- Drive the next-generation SaMD product work on Samsung Health, including expansion of the exercise coaching feature.
- Partner with design to translate complex problems into simple, elegant, minimal solutions.
- Prioritize feature development to maximize impact within available resources.
- Collaborate closely with technical program managers and development leads across market/user research, design, development, validation, and deployment.
- Own key product artifacts including the PRD (product requirement document), user guide, and product performance reporting; serve as the single point of contact for stakeholders across executives, partners, business, strategy, engineering, design, QA, operations, and legal.
What you bring
- MS/Ph.D in Biomedical engineering/EE/CS (or similar), or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- 5+ years of product management experience, including 3+ years building regulated medical devices.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex problems into clear insights and requirements.
- Strong ability to understand user data and synthesize user research into product requirements.
- Demonstrated agility in fast-paced, ambiguous environments, with experience prioritizing and managing multiple responsibilities.
- Knowledge of regulated medical device development, including a quality management system.
