This onsite role in Carlsbad, CA leads the Enterprise Analytics pod, shaping the cross-functional analytics layer that powers the business. You will own the semantic layer, executive analytics, certified metrics, and the data governance program while partnering with executives and guiding a Scrum team. Responsibilities
- Own the roadmap for Enterprise Analytics, covering the semantic layer, executive analytics, certified metrics, and the data governance program
- Collaborate with the executive team and VPs across functions to define the metrics, dashboards, and analytics products needed to run the business
- Lead the development of Vuori’s data semantic layer, including metric definitions, dimensions, and the certification process
- Manage the Associate Product Manager, Data Governance, and oversee the governance portal and steward network
- Run a scrum team of engineers and consultants, owning backlog prioritization, sprint planning, standups, and delivery
- Deliver executive-facing analytics products such as weekly/board scorecards, C-suite reporting, and cross-functional KPI views
- Establish and operate the Vuori metric certification process, including how metrics are proposed, reviewed, certified, and retired
- Coordinate with Merch & Product, Omni, and Data Science pods to align on shared metric definitions and minimize duplication
- Identify opportunities to apply AI to enterprise analytics, including natural language metric lookup, automated narrative generation, and anomaly detection on executive metrics, partnering with the DS&AI team
- Leverage AI productivity tools to write specs, define metrics, draft executive content, and prototype solutions
- Communicate tradeoffs, risks, and priorities clearly through strong written and verbal communication
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in product management, analytics, BI, or a senior analyst role, with cross-functional or executive analytics exposure preferred
- Exceptional stakeholder management, able to facilitate discussions with senior leaders and drive aligned outcomes
- Very strong written and verbal communication skills
- Hands-on experience with a data semantic layer or modern BI platform such as MicroStrategy, Looker (LookML), Power BI semantic models, dbt Semantic Layer, Cube, or equivalent
- Solid understanding of metric design and definition, including KPI formulation, edge cases, versioning, and adoption strategies
- Experience building executive-facing analytics products
- Familiarity with data governance concepts (business glossaries, metric certification, data lineage, ownership models) and exposure to tools like Atlan, Collibra, or Alation
- DTC, apparel, or branded consumer goods domain experience is strongly preferred, with familiarity of cross-functional metrics such as sell-through, weighted in-stock, and retention
- Experience delivering agile or scrum projects with an engineering team
- Aware of AI applications in enterprise analytics (semantic search, natural language to SQL, automated insights) and willing to experiment
- Comfort using AI productivity tools in your own workflow
