Electrical Engineer, Product Design

Electrical Engineer with PCB design and embedded experience will drive electrical projects from concept through production at Kinequip, Inc., with an onsite role in Detroit focusing on electrical systems, firmware, and integration for lighting and control products.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical systems and components for a variety of applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project requirements are met.
• Test and validate electrical systems to confirm adherence to specifications.
• Transition designs to production, including vendor interfacing, BOM management, and documentation.
• Develop and maintain firmware for lighting and control products.
• Document designs, processes, and test results for future reference.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with 2+ years of experience in an EE design role.
• Experience with component selection, schematic capture, and PCB layout; Altium preferred.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team while managing individual responsibilities effectively.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail.
