Job Description

Kinequip, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineer focused on product design to lead the development, testing, and production handoff of electrical systems used in lighting and control products. The role involves firmware work and close collaboration with cross-functional teams, and is an onsite position based in Belmont, NC.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electrical systems and components for a range of applications.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure alignment with project requirements.
  • Perform testing and validation of electrical systems to verify compliance with specifications.
  • Transition designs into production, with an emphasis on manufacturability and traceability.
  • Interface with vendors to source components and address technical issues.
  • Prepare and maintain bill of materials (BOMs) and related documentation.
  • Develop and maintain firmware for lighting and control products.
  • Document designs, processes, and test results for future reference.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 2 years in an electrical design role.
  • Experience with component selection, schematic capture, and PCB layout; Altium preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team while managing individual responsibilities.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
