Job Description

Kinequip, Inc. is looking for a hands-on Electrical Engineer with a solid grounding in PCB design and embedded systems to join the team in Columbus. This role guides hardware projects from early concept through production, helping shape the direction of our products and contributing to the development of innovative, reliable solutions. The position is onsite, offering an opportunity to collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to bring ideas to life.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electrical systems and components for a range of applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Test and validate electrical systems to confirm conformance with specifications.
  • Transition designs to production, including interfacing with vendors, managing BOMs, and documenting processes.
  • Develop and maintain firmware for various lighting and control products.
  • Document designs, processes, and test results for future reference.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience with 2+ years in an EE design role.
  • Experience with component selection, schematic design/capture, and PCB layout; Altium preferred.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team while managing individual responsibilities effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail.
