Product Manager - Equity Volatility
Job Description
The Product Manager for Equity Volatility at Millennium Management oversees requirements gathering, delivery management, and roadmap development for the Equity Volatility platform. This onsite role in New York partners with investment teams to deliver proprietary tools for research, backtesting, and risk management of equities derivatives.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with investment teams and business stakeholders to capture, refine, and synthesize requirements across the Equity Volatility platform.
- Evaluate upstream and downstream data dependencies and convert business needs into BRDs, FRDs, JIRA tickets, and detailed project plans.
- Direct day-to-day project execution, identify and escalate issues, conflicts, and delivery roadblocks, and help resolve them.
- Develop and maintain product roadmaps and associated artifacts to align stakeholders and manage expectations.
- Coordinate development tasks, testing, and release validation to ensure solutions meet business and user requirements.
- Create user guides and platform documentation to support onboarding, adoption, and effective use of the tools.
- Support the delivery of proprietary tools that enable research, strategy backtesting, and risk management for equities derivatives portfolios.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in a relevant business analyst or product management role.
- Strong subject matter expertise in equity derivatives, including market data, pricing, and risk management methodologies, with emphasis on Volatility and Delta 1 products and related risk sensitivities.
- Hands-on experience working on proprietary derivatives pricing, analytics, and risk management systems in close partnership with traders, risk managers, and business leaders.
- Solid understanding of equities options markets and the requirements that support listed options execution infrastructure.
- Experience working in a Scrum environment with practical knowledge of JIRA.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and written documentation skills.
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
- Basic understanding of Python and the ability to read Java code to understand implemented functionality; development experience or CFA is a plus.

Salary Range
Base salary range (New York, onsite): USD 175,000 to USD 250,000 per year. Millennium offers a total compensation package that includes base pay, discretionary performance bonus, and comprehensive benefits. The final offer considers an individual’s experience and qualifications to form a competitive total compensation package.
