Engineering Tech - Product Design & Manufacturing Support

Responsibilities

• Review customer specifications, drawings, and project requirements to interpret design intent and translate it into manufacturable solutions
• Clarify details with internal teams or customers to ensure accuracy
• Create detailed production drawings using CAD software
• Develop and maintain bills of materials (BOMs) and cut lists
• Ensure all documentation is accurate, complete, and aligned with production capabilities
• Generate CNC programs and machine instructions for production
• Optimize programs for efficiency, material usage, and quality
• Support machine operators with program-related questions or adjustments
• Collaborate with production teams to ensure smooth execution of projects
• Troubleshoot design or manufacturing issues and recommend solutions
• Assist with process improvements and standardization of workflows
• Ensure designs meet quality standards and customer expectations
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and streamline processes
• Maintain organized records of drawings, revisions, and project files

Requirements

• Associate's degree or technical certification in drafting, engineering technology, or a related field preferred
• Experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar
• Experience with CNC programming and manufacturing processes preferred
• Understanding of woodworking, casework, or furniture manufacturing is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
