Review customer specifications, drawings, and project requirements to interpret design intent and translate it into manufacturable solutions
Clarify details with internal teams or customers to ensure accuracy
Create detailed production drawings using CAD software
Develop and maintain bills of materials (BOMs) and cut lists
Ensure all documentation is accurate, complete, and aligned with production capabilities
Generate CNC programs and machine instructions for production
Optimize programs for efficiency, material usage, and quality
Support machine operators with program-related questions or adjustments
Collaborate with production teams to ensure smooth execution of projects
Troubleshoot design or manufacturing issues and recommend solutions
Assist with process improvements and standardization of workflows
Ensure designs meet quality standards and customer expectations
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and streamline processes
Maintain organized records of drawings, revisions, and project files

Associate's degree or technical certification in drafting, engineering technology, or a related field preferred
Experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar
Experience with CNC programming and manufacturing processes preferred
Understanding of woodworking, casework, or furniture manufacturing is a plus
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
