Product Design Engineer

Elwood Professional is seeking a Product Design Engineer in Houston, TX to deliver customer-facing product design work and support across engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain.

Responsibilities

• Provide installation drawings for customer projects including guardrails, lifelines, and other installed systems
• Support Manufacturing with quality resolutions and manufacturing drawings
• Maintain and manage BOM structures to support production needs
• Support Supply Chain through vendor inquiries and supplier evaluations
• Perform calculations for multiple product ranges
• Create, maintain, and update BOM for projects in the ERP

Requirements

• Experience and knowledge with CAD software (preferably Solidworks)
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and quality requirements
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments and share quality-related issues and recommendations
• Detail-oriented mindset with focus on accuracy, precision, and thoroughness
• Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Knowledge of ERP, preferably AS400
• Pre-employment drug screen required as a condition of employment

Position Details

• Direct Hire position
• $70,000.00 per year
• First Shift (Monday through Friday, 08:00am to 05:00pm)
• Location: Houston, TX (onsite)
