IT Product Owner
Job Description
J.Hilburn is hiring an IT Product Owner to shape and prioritize IT development initiatives and ensure delivery from discovery through post-launch stabilization. This onsite role in Lewisville, TX focuses on end-to-end ownership across multiple platforms, including ERP, OMS, eCommerce, and integration tools, with coordinated agile execution and ongoing production support.
What you’ll own
- Own and groom the IT backlog, translating stakeholder needs into Epics, Stories, Tasks, and Bugs with clear acceptance criteria.
- Prioritize work using business value, risk, and dependencies, and perform initial triage on incoming tickets.
- Lead agile ceremonies, including bi-weekly sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, while establishing repeatable velocity and maintaining delivery accountability.
- Administer Jira spaces and drive continuous improvement in development, testing, and deployment processes, including maintaining workflow and SOP documentation.
- Deliver IT projects end-to-end, including project discovery and post-launch stabilization.
- Create and maintain key planning artifacts such as project charters, scope, work breakdown structures, milestone plans, and timelines.
- Coordinate across business, infrastructure, QA, and development to remove blockers and meet delivery commitments.
- Lead OMS and eCommerce product launches and manage related check-ins, product launch calls, and steering updates.
- Review OMS and eCommerce work prior to deployment, coordinate deployment windows, validation, and post-deployment verification.
- Maintain RCA and drive mitigation with appropriate owners, escalating issues when needed.
- Coordinate on-call rotations and IT support for production issues as required.
- Serve as the day-to-day point of contact for key vendors and partners (including ByDesign, NetSuite, and integration partners), running recurring vendor cadences and managing vendor tickets from triage through resolution validation.
- Engage with stakeholders at multiple levels, including executives and internal customer groups, acting as the primary point of contact for IT-managed tools.
- Translate complex technical issues into actionable insights and maintain strong working relationships across IT, Merchandising, Product Development, and Stylist Success.
- Maintain an IT project portfolio aligned with business goals and resource capacity, supporting intake and prioritization for new IT work.
- Report on portfolio performance monthly.
What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, engineering, information systems, or a similar field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or IT Project Manager, including end-to-end delivery across multiple systems or platforms.
- Strong understanding of SDLC and agile/scrum methodologies, along with proven experience managing vendors and third parties.
- Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, Asana, or equivalent tools, plus technical literacy across CRM/ERP/eCommerce platforms (such as NetSuite and ByDesign).
- Experience in a premium/luxury brand environment and with a distributed sales field is preferred.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
