Job Description

Champion Motorsports Group is hiring a Manager of Sourcing & Product Operations to strengthen procurement initiatives and vendor partnerships while keeping product specifications and readiness on track for retail availability. This onsite role in Mesquite, TX combines strategic sourcing with end-to-end product lifecycle and product data management, with a focus on accuracy, compliance, and inventory performance.

Reporting into cross-functional efforts that span Product Development, Engineering, Sourcing, Quality Control, Logistics, and Sales, you will help align product timelines with operational execution. The role carries a salary of USD 75,000 per year and is designed for candidates with 5+ years of relevant experience and a bachelor’s degree or equivalent background.

What you’ll do

  • Develop and run strategic sourcing plans across product categories to optimize costs, reduce lead times, and support company goals.
  • Lead contract negotiations with suppliers, vendors, and service providers to secure pricing, payment terms, MOQs, and SLAs.
  • Assess supplier quality, delivery performance, and compliance targets, including regular vendor audits and ongoing supplier relationship development.
  • Track global market trends, commodity or pricing shifts, and supply chain risks, then adjust sourcing strategies to reduce disruption exposure.
  • Own product specification packages, including technical details, BOMs, dimensions, materials, compliance or regulatory certificates, and packaging requirements.
  • Maintain the accuracy and integrity of core product data, SKUs, and digital assets across ERP, PIM, and Oracle NetSuite.
  • Ensure product data and specification feeds meet retail partner standards, routing guides, labeling requirements, and regulatory requirements across all sales channels.
  • Define governance standards and naming conventions for onboarding new products, while continuously auditing existing product catalogs.
  • Act as the central connector between teams to manage product readiness timelines for retail rollout.
  • Coordinate ongoing product updates, material substitutions, and engineering change orders (ECOs) to sustain operational continuity without compromising quality or margins.
  • Use MRP/ERP systems and data analytics to forecast demand, schedule procurement, manage inventory turns, and prevent stockouts or overstock.
  • Ensure procurement and product development practices follow legal, ethical, company, and industry regulatory standards, keeping documentation ready for audits.

Required experience & qualifications

  • 5+ years of combined experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, product operations, or product data and specification management, ideally in consumer goods, retail, or manufacturing.
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent practical experience) in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Procurement & Product Sourcing, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Advanced experience with ERP/MRP systems, including SAP, Oracle EBS, and/or NetSuite.
  • Hands-on proficiency with PIM/PLM platforms such as Salsify, Akeneo, or Arena, or strong technical ability in Excel or Google Sheets for data auditing and analysis.
  • Demonstrated success in direct supplier negotiations, contract drafting, and vendor performance management.
  • Strong organizational skills and cross-functional leadership, with the ability to manage multiple complex product launches and timelines at once.
  • Problem-solving, market analysis, and risk-assessment abilities, along with clear communication skills for working with internal teams and global partners; Chinese communication is preferred but not required.
