Senior Product Owner

Senior Product Owner role to drive software solution development and deployment for the Electrophysiology Division in an Agile medical device environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead application feature definition activities in partnership with Software Development, Systems Engineering, Human Factors, Clinical Engineering, and other stakeholders.
• Operate in Agile ways of working by reviewing business needs, refining priorities, outlining milestones and deliverables, and surfacing opportunities and risks.
• Translate product roadmap items into actionable product requirements, including features, user stories, and acceptance test criteria.
• Support overall project success by defining activities needed to reach desired business results.
• Identify, quantify, and work toward resolution of technical risks, including risks requiring cross-functional collaboration due to complex system interactions.
• Develop and manage system and subsystem requirements through definition, decomposition, analysis, and traceability to maintain clear, unambiguous software requirements.
• Contribute to software/hardware integration by collaborating with Systems Verification and Pre-Clinical engineering, including root cause analysis and solution generation.
• Review software designs to confirm they implement the expected software behavior and requirements.
• Ensure work aligns with Quality and compliance requirements.
• Act as a team leader by mentoring team members across definition, identifying software functional requirements, test reviews, traceability, and final release per medical device development processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Computer, Electrical, Computer Systems, Systems, or Software), Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of software engineering design and development or systems engineering experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience working with C++.
• Experience creating and managing requirements and translating them into effective architectures and software design.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills across all organization levels.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Engineering (Computer, Electrical, Computer Systems, or Software), Computer Science, or related discipline.
• Knowledge of 62304 and other applicable standards for Class II and Class III medical devices.
• Experience in a regulated industry such as automotive, aerospace, healthcare, or defense.
• Familiarity with draft FDA Cybersecurity Guidance and GDPR.
• Demonstrated ability to provide technical leadership and mentorship.
• Experience with complex electromechanical systems including hardware, embedded firmware, disposables, and software.
• Academic GPA of 3.0+.

Location: Little Canada, MN (onsite)

Employment type: Contract

Compensation: USD 55 - 60 per hourly
