Snap’s Ad Marketplace team is seeking a Staff Product Manager to lead Spotlight monetization and drive marketplace growth. In this role, you will own the end-to-end strategy and roadmap, translating product changes into measurable impact across supply, demand, auction dynamics, yield, advertiser performance, and revenue.
Based in Palo Alto, CA with an onsite work model (4+ days per week), you’ll work across teams to strengthen the Spotlight ecosystem and ensure advertisers can access, adopt, and realize value from monetizable inventory.
What you’ll do
- Own end-to-end strategy, roadmap, and execution for Spotlight monetization, balancing user engagement, content ecosystem health, advertiser value, and Snap’s business objectives.
- Develop the Marketplace growth strategy for Spotlight, including inventory expansion, new monetization structures, advertiser demand activation, and improvements to marketplace health.
- Act as the Marketplace product lead for major Spotlight, content, and product changes that affect inventory supply, advertiser demand, auction dynamics, yield, advertiser performance, or revenue.
- Evaluate the direct and downstream Marketplace impact of proposed changes, and define response plans across inventory rollout, demand readiness, auction liquidity, measurement, ranking, bidding, pacing, and delivery.
- Identify and remove barriers that limit advertisers from effectively accessing and adopting Spotlight inventory and realizing value.
- Partner with Contents and Partnerships to strengthen the Spotlight ecosystem across consumers, creators, publishers, advertisers, and commercial partners.
- Collaborate closely with Ad Format PMs and Design teams to translate product-experience changes into Marketplace requirements and monetization strategies.
- Work with Inventory Forecasting, Delivery, Auction, Ranking, Bidding, Pacing, Measurement, and Data Science teams to build scalable products supporting healthy supply and demand growth.
- Define success metrics and lead experimentation across monetizable supply, inventory utilization, advertiser adoption, auction health, yield, revenue, advertiser performance, and user and content guardrails.
- Communicate product strategy, Marketplace implications, trade-offs, experiment results, and investment recommendations clearly to executives and cross-functional stakeholders.
What you bring
- Deep expertise in advertising marketplaces, including familiarity with inventory supply, advertiser demand, auction mechanics, pricing, yield, ranking, bidding, pacing, and delivery.
- Strong understanding of supply and demand dynamics and the ability to anticipate how changes on one side of the marketplace affect the other.
- System-level thinking across users’ organic experiences, content ecosystems, advertiser objectives, marketplace mechanics, and company goals.
- Ability to translate consumer product or content changes into advertising marketplace implications and product requirements.
- Strong understanding of feed-based, short-form video, content discovery, social, or entertainment products.
- Product judgment around integrating monetization into consumer experiences without compromising long-term user or ecosystem health.
- Revenue-focused leadership with a record of delivering meaningful marketplace or monetization growth.
- Analytical mindset, with experience using experimentation, scenario analysis, marketplace metrics, and structured decision frameworks.
- Proven ability to lead complex, multi-quarter initiatives from ambiguous problem definition through launch and measurable impact.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and align executives and cross-functional leaders (Product, Engineering, Data Science, Design, Partnerships, Sales, and others) without relying on formal authority.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including explaining complex marketplace dynamics and trade-offs to technical and nontechnical audiences.
- Ability to balance long-term marketplace strategy with detailed execution across multiple concurrent workstreams.
