Workday is building AI agent products on top of trusted enterprise systems, with a team focused on moving from prototypes to business-critical capabilities. In this role, you will own an AI agent product end-to-end, shaping product decisions from early opportunity discovery through GA launch, adoption, and ongoing iteration.
This is a hands-on product-building position where you will turn ambiguous customer problems into prototypes, evaluation plans, launch scopes, and shipped outcomes. You will work closely with engineering, data science, design, field, and domain teams to ensure reliability, usefulness, and production readiness for enterprise customers.
What you’ll do
- Own an AI agent product end-to-end, spanning opportunity discovery and product thesis through GA launch, adoption, and iteration.
- Identify and validate high-ROI opportunities in finance and HCM by working backward from real customer pain, business value, data availability, knowledge quality, and failure tolerance.
- Partner deeply with engineering to shape reliable agent architectures, evaluation harnesses, observability, human-in-the-loop controls, and production readiness.
- Define product-quality evals that determine whether an agent is useful, trustworthy, and ready for customer use, beyond demo appeal.
- Build conviction through working demos, measurable results, customer discovery, design partner programs, and clear decision memos.
- Align stakeholders across domain PMs, design, engineering, field, legal, security, and executives to move needed decisions toward shipment.
What you’ll bring
- Experience level for Senior vs. Principal: 8+ years of product management, founder, product lead, or equivalent product-building experience for Senior Product Manager; 11+ years for Principal Product Manager.
- Enterprise product depth: 5+ years building B2B or enterprise software where AI/ML, data, analytics, or decision-support are central to customer value.
- 0-to-1 ownership: a record of taking an idea from concept to first customers, revenue, or measurable business impact.
- Technical fluency: demonstrated ability to engage with AI/ML systems, data or analytics products, enterprise platforms, or workflow automation.
- Decision-making with incomplete information: experience using customer evidence, product metrics, and structured judgment for high-stakes product choices.
- High agency with modern AI tools: experience using tools such as Claude, Cursor, Codex, or equivalents to prototype, analyze, write, test, research, or automate parts of your workflow.
About the team and role scope

The team operates like a 0-to-1 product organization inside Workday, focusing on high-conviction bets validated with real customers and scaled into production-grade enterprise products.
In this position, you will own a product line, not a feature backlog. You will have direct customer access and autonomy to shape product decisions, turning Workday’s data and domain knowledge into new categories of enterprise AI products.
