Agent Product Manager

The Agent Product Manager role at Runbook is a forward-deployed position focused on delivering measurable customer outcomes with AI agents while also influencing the platform roadmap. You will partner closely with customers and internal teams to ensure deployments succeed and the product scales for non-technical operators.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver customer outcomes using the Runbook platform by collaborating with Agent Operations and engineering to build agents that work, while supporting customers as they transform operational workflows with AI and expand to additional workflows over time.
• Own market success for the Runbook platform by working closely with founders and the engineering team to shape vision and roadmap, ensuring the next n customers and deployments achieve strong results.
• Discovery: Partner with customers to understand operational workflows, systems, and constraints, including embedding with customer teams during deployment.
• Agent Design: Convert real-world operational complexity into scalable agent design, including scope, success criteria, requirements, and an agent configuration that performs reliably.
• Deployment ownership: Take responsibility for deployments end-to-end, from initial discovery through go-live, production iteration, and results readouts.
• Customer partnership: Serve as a trusted advisor to identify high-impact opportunities for expansion.
• Platform innovation: Drive roadmap decisions and feature development to expand platform capabilities and improve usability for a non-technical deployment team.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in product development for highly technical products.
• Experience in product management or a similar role requiring both scoping and execution.
• Ability to lead strategy and translate business needs into a clear plan, including identifying risks and navigating tradeoffs in live customer environments.
• Ability to manage multiple deployments, drive execution, and lead workstreams through delivery and iteration with minimal oversight.
• Strong grounding in software, product, and engineering concepts to partner effectively with customers and internal teams and turn ideas into production agents.

This position sits at the intersection of deploying AI agents to take on end-to-end work that can decrease costs or drive revenue and building a platform that enables non-technical operators to own these deployments. Success is measured by real business impact, and the role is forward-deployed.
