Job Description
Capital One is building an operating backbone for a complex, multi-team environment, and this role will set the system that keeps planning, execution, and delivery health aligned. As Head of PMO & Product Operations, you will own the operating model, improve efficiency and capacity management, and connect cross-organization dependencies so commitments hold over time.
What you’ll do

- Drive efficiency and capacity management by identifying bottlenecks, rebalancing load, and ensuring resourcing matches the organization’s highest priority commitments
- Design and run delivery mechanisms such as planning cycles, governance forums, and reporting cadences to provide leadership visibility into delivery health, risk, and tradeoffs as they emerge
- Act as the connective layer between interconnected organizations by aligning dependencies, surfacing cross-org risks early, and brokering tradeoffs across boundaries
- Lead and develop the team of program and project managers and operations associates, setting standards and defining the tools used to manage complex, dynamic work
- Partner with senior stakeholders to translate strategy into an executable plan and refine it as priorities and constraints shift
- Build scalable, repeatable processes that reduce ad hoc firefighting and make execution more predictable over time
