Manufacturing Engineer – Product Design & Manufacturing Systems
Job Description
A fast paced Manufacturing Engineer role in a HDD environment, onsite in Hutchinson, KS, focused on product design and manufacturing systems from concept to production release.
Responsibilities
- Lead product design from concept through manufacturing release
- Create and maintain precise SolidWorks models and manufacturing drawings
- Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs)
- Develop and maintain process routings
- Establish and maintain costing structures
- Create and uphold manufacturing standards
- Support manufacturing process development and continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with production teams to ensure manufacturability and efficiency
- Assist with prototype development, testing, and product refinement
- Support engineering change implementation and product updates
- Coordinate with purchasing and operations on materials and production requirements
