Job Description

Micron's Boise campus hosts an entry‑level New Product Operations Supply Planner role designed for a recent graduate. In this position, you will directly contribute to planning and manufacturing execution for new products from the initial planning phase through ramp, working with global teams across Supply Chain, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Product Engineering. This onsite opportunity in Boise, Idaho is well suited for a new college graduate seeking a start in product operations and supply chain.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with engineering and business units to gather NPI demand and ensure all requirements are clearly understood and documented.
  • Monitor and verify the completeness and accuracy of master data, including individual components and their BOMs.
  • Validate inputs needed to generate an accurate supply response, such as yields, cycle times, site loading, and capacity boundaries.
  • Utilize ERP systems to produce a weekly build plan that aligns with business needs.
  • Ensure manufacturing teams reserve capacity and procure direct materials to support NPI requirements.
  • Raise awareness of supply shortages and capacity constraints with relevant stakeholders and work to close gaps where feasible.
  • Transition responsibilities to high‑volume planners once the product has launched.
  • Contribute to shaping the evolving Strategic Planning function.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
  • A Master's degree in Supply Chain, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, or an equivalent field is highly preferred.
  • Experience leading cross‑functional teams to resolve complex problems.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and statistical techniques.
  • A proven track record of managing successful projects.
