Product Owner II
Job Description
This Product Owner II role is responsible for owning the product vision and roadmap for a suite of operator and market-facing applications that support MISO’s electrical grid operations. The position partners with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to prioritize work, shape solution design, and deliver measurable value using agile practices.
Role Summary
Own the vision and roadmap for operator and market-facing application capabilities supporting electrical grid operations. Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to guide prioritization, define solutions, and drive business value through agile delivery. Maintain a backlog and support release planning, communication, and innovation efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive product vision and roadmap by aligning user needs, business goals, industry trends, and product health insights with long-term strategic priorities.
- Lead discovery through targeted questioning and workflow analysis, partnering closely with operators and subject-matter experts to prioritize essential research.
- Align cross-functional teams around objectives and outcomes, acting as a product evangelist.
- Apply Agile and a product mindset to support adaptability, learning, user-centered thinking, and improved delivery practices.
- Connect product decisions to user workflows, outcomes, and business objectives, anticipating emerging needs and aligning initiatives with strategy.
- Build business cases, maintain and prioritize the backlog, validate completed work, and lead release planning, solution definition, innovation efforts, and stakeholder communication.
- Identify complex insights from product metrics, develop measures when needed, and use data to guide product direction.
- Champion responsible, high-value use of AI to strengthen product management practices, improve analysis, and accelerate value delivery.
- Promote innovation by identifying improvement opportunities and creative solutions that advance real-time communication, shared awareness, logging accuracy, and readiness.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (or 4 years relevant work experience equivalency); plus 3-6 years of experience in product management, product ownership, business analysis, systems engineering, or related experience.
- Proven experience shaping and driving product vision and roadmaps.
- Strong servant leadership skills, including the ability to facilitate collaboration, resolve conflicts, and drive continuous improvement.
- Working knowledge of software development concepts and Agile methodologies.
- Familiarity with user experience best practices and translating business needs into effective solutions.
- Demonstrated experience applying AI tools in product management to improve productivity, analysis, and workflow.
- Energy industry experience is a plus.

- SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager
- PMI-Agile Certified Practitioner
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or better in Business Administration or a related field
- Bachelor’s degree or better in Information Technology or a related field
Licenses & Certifications
- SAFe Cert (Preferred)
Compensation & Location
Location: Little Rock, AR (onsite). Salary: USD 143,000 - 168,000 per year.
