Sr Product Manager - Data Product (GCP)
Job Description
Senior Product Manager role for Target’s Data Product (GCP), aligned to the Space Presentation and Transitions data product portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Build product strategy, roadmap, and OKRs for your Data Product in partnership with the product model.
- Use product knowledge, customer feedback, and other data signals to evaluate value, develop business cases, and prioritize direction and outcomes.
- Lead a product team and coordinate delivery with engineering, UX designers, data scientists, and business partners.
- Act as the voice of the product to key stakeholders to ensure needs are addressed and the team has support and clarity.
- Maintain a product roadmap and backlog with customer themes, epics, and stories, prioritizing highest-impact work.
- Promote open exchange of information and viewpoints; support challenging goals and high-performance standards while aligning to organizational direction.
- Drive urgency to hit objectives and leverage resources to resolve unexpected obstacles.
- Partner across product teams to achieve shared goals while delivering your own product outcomes.
Requirements
- Four-year degree or equivalent experience.
- 6+ years of data product experience with demonstrated end-to-end ownership of enterprise data, analytics, or data-platform products.
- Technology fluency to facilitate communication between business and technology teams.
- Ability to connect business objectives with technical and data requirements.
- Hands-on comfort using SQL and data to make product decisions.
- Practical understanding of data quality, governance, lineage, metadata, and related enterprise data concepts.
- Experience working in an agile environment (user stories, iterative development, scrum teams, sprints, personas).
- Ability to lead a body of work with cross-functional partners.
- Proven ability to partner with and influence Engineering, Data Architecture, Analytics, Data Governance, and business stakeholders.

Space Presentation and Transitions Data Product Portfolio
- Provides enterprise-scale data that powers how Target plans, optimizes, and evolves physical store space.
- Helps business users design store presentations, understand financial performance and space productivity, and plan future transitions and merchandising changes.
- Integrates data from multiple source domains and delivers it through governed, scalable platforms and self-service capabilities.
- Supports data-driven decision making across space planning, category management, merchandising, and store operations.
- Senior Product Managers partner with data engineers to build tables within Target’s data cloud so end users can visualize, analyze, and use models.
- Used to enable end-user decisions and drive enterprise value, with focus on outcomes for merchandising teams.

- Accountable for delivering business outcomes enabled through technology and analytic products.
- Products are expected to be easy to use, easily maintained, and highly reliable.
- Product teams share one backlog spanning product, technology, discovery, and design work.
Location and Work Model
- Brooklyn Park, MN (hybrid)
- Hybrid/Flex means the core role is performed both onsite at Target HQ MN and virtually, based on team and daily needs.
- Work duties cannot be performed outside the country of the primary work location unless otherwise prescribed by Target.
Salary Range
- $115,000 - $206,000 per year
