Job Description

Modernizing Medicine, Inc. (ModMed) is seeking a Product Owner to act as a primary subject matter expert for its ePrescribing (eRx) team. In this hybrid role based in Boca Raton, FL, you will connect technical needs with product strategy while working closely with Product Management, internal engineering teams, and external partners to support innovation, issue resolution, and regulatory compliance across the EMA suite.

What you will do

Serve as the definitive ePrescribing (eRx) product resource for cross-functional ModMed teams, providing guidance on product functionality and workflows.
Partner with Product Management to develop, scope, and manage ePrescribing initiatives aligned to customer needs, industry shifts, and value-add opportunities.
Work with internal teams to identify, debug, and resolve product issues reported by customers, solution partners, and internal stakeholders.
Join periodic partner conversations to stay informed on industry issues and to evaluate value-add solutions proposed by external vendors.
Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to confirm eRx features deliver measurable value to both the business and customers.
Proactively surface and communicate new certification requirements, including DEA, ONC, and Cures Act, to maintain federal regulatory compliance.

What you bring

2+ years of experience.
A Bachelor’s degree is required/strongly indicated (Bachelor’s degree preferred per posting).
Strong working knowledge of ModMed’s proprietary software, specifically EMA modules that interact with eRx workflows, or 2+ years of business analyst or product owner experience with an EMR company.
Understanding of healthcare regulatory bodies and standards, including NCPDP, Surescripts, DEA, ONC, and Cures Act (preferred).
Proven ability to debug complex product issues and collaborate with technical teams on durable, long-term solutions.
Experience generating metrics and translating data into actionable business insights.
Creative thinking when scoping new capabilities and working within constraints common to healthcare technology.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead Initiative discussions across multiple departments.
Interest in hybrid work within ModMed’s Boca Raton, FL headquarters environment (ideal).

Job Description

Own the operational roadmap for telephony in MDVIP’s contact center, bridging CX operations and technology delivery for NICE CXone integrated with Salesforce CRM.

Responsibilities

Coordinate with the broader product team to drive the operational roadmap for telephony solutions, including standardization and optimization initiatives.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Operations, Analytics, Telecommunications, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
2+ years of experience in a Telephony/Contact Center Technical Product Owner role (or similar), or 4+ years of experience in related contact center operations, technology, or product roles.
Experience with NICE CXone or comparable enterprise contact center platforms (examples: AWS Connect, Genesys, Verint, Five9).
Experience supporting operational product ownership within contact center or telephony platforms, including evolving capabilities beyond initial implementation.
Experience with product ownership and agile practices, including backlog management, user stories, and stakeholder management.
Strong documentation and technical writing skills, including proficiency in user stories, acceptance criteria, requirements documentation, and flow diagrams.
Familiarity with AI agent or conversational AI capabilities within contact center platforms is a strong plus.

What you’ll own

Develop deep product expertise across business and technical domains, including doctor and patient personas, value proposition, competitive landscape, business workflows, and the underlying data assets, architecture, and technical components.
Own the product backlog and requirements for assigned data products, partnering with business teams such as marketing, operations, sales, and member services to translate goals into user stories, technical requirements, and acceptance criteria.
Design conceptual data models that convert business questions into a shared, well-structured view of MDVIP data, defining entities, relationships, metrics, and definitions. Partner with data architects and data engineers to move from conceptual to physical implementation.

Drive AI-based data self-service capabilities with marketing and operations so business users can answer questions directly from key data assets, reducing reliance on custom dashboards and one-off reporting.
Create wireframes and mockups for dashboards and data visualization using BI tools, iterating with business users and developers to ensure visualizations answer the right questions.
Analyze the current platform in the context of end-to-end business processes spanning marketing campaigns, sales workflows, member services operations, and the systems behind them, using data to quantify operational issues and recommend enhancements from planning through testing and implementation.
Validate solutions via quality assurance and ownership of user acceptance (UAT) plans with business stakeholders, collaborating with engineering during user testing and complex validation sessions and adjusting solutions to ensure business needs are met.
Provide product input into architecture decisions for EMR and proprietary data assets to support AI-driven insights, business team effectiveness, and a best-in-class member experience across a member’s health journey.
Use working knowledge of the healthcare industry to translate needs and opportunities into well-formed user stories, while ensuring assigned products meet healthcare regulatory requirements such as HIPAA and other relevant compliance standards.

How you’ll work with the team

Facilitate agile ceremonies, including scrum, backlog refinement, sprint planning, and reviews, to maintain clarity and alignment across business and engineering, even as requirements evolve.
