Job Description

Modernizing Medicine, Inc. (ModMed) is seeking a Product Owner to act as a primary subject matter expert for its ePrescribing (eRx) team. In this hybrid role based in Boca Raton, FL, you will connect technical needs with product strategy while working closely with Product Management, internal engineering teams, and external partners to support innovation, issue resolution, and regulatory compliance across the EMA suite.

What you will do

  • Serve as the definitive ePrescribing (eRx) product resource for cross-functional ModMed teams, providing guidance on product functionality and workflows.
  • Partner with Product Management to develop, scope, and manage ePrescribing initiatives aligned to customer needs, industry shifts, and value-add opportunities.
  • Work with internal teams to identify, debug, and resolve product issues reported by customers, solution partners, and internal stakeholders.
  • Join periodic partner conversations to stay informed on industry issues and to evaluate value-add solutions proposed by external vendors.
  • Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to confirm eRx features deliver measurable value to both the business and customers.
  • Proactively surface and communicate new certification requirements, including DEA, ONC, and Cures Act, to maintain federal regulatory compliance.

What you bring

  • 2+ years of experience.
  • A Bachelor’s degree is required/strongly indicated (Bachelor’s degree preferred per posting).
  • Strong working knowledge of ModMed’s proprietary software, specifically EMA modules that interact with eRx workflows, or 2+ years of business analyst or product owner experience with an EMR company.
  • Understanding of healthcare regulatory bodies and standards, including NCPDP, Surescripts, DEA, ONC, and Cures Act (preferred).
  • Proven ability to debug complex product issues and collaborate with technical teams on durable, long-term solutions.
  • Experience generating metrics and translating data into actionable business insights.
  • Creative thinking when scoping new capabilities and working within constraints common to healthcare technology.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead Initiative discussions across multiple departments.
  • Interest in hybrid work within ModMed’s Boca Raton, FL headquarters environment (ideal).
