Job Description

SHI International Corporation is building and evolving an API Platform ecosystem to support enterprise digital transformation, and the Product Owner for the API Platform will help define what gets built and why. This hybrid role in Austin, TX focuses on owning the product vision, roadmap, and strategy for the API Management (APIM), Developer Portal, and API governance capabilities.

Working closely with business stakeholders, architects, and engineering teams, you will translate business needs into prioritized features and user stories, while steering delivery through Agile planning and measurable platform outcomes. The role also serves as a key decision-maker for tradeoffs and communicates progress, risks, and strategic priorities to leadership.

What you’ll do

Own the vision, roadmap, and backlog for SHI’s API Platform, including API Management (APIM), Developer Portal, and API governance.
Partner with business stakeholders, architects, and engineering teams to convert business needs into prioritized product features and user stories.
Define and prioritize product investments to improve API adoption, developer experience, and platform scalability.
Lead backlog refinement, sprint planning, acceptance criteria definition, and release prioritization activities.
Establish, monitor, and measure KPIs tied to platform adoption, API consumption, reliability, and customer satisfaction.
Facilitate alignment across business, engineering, security, and operations teams to support delivery of roadmap initiatives.
Act as the primary decision-maker for product priorities and product tradeoff discussions.
Communicate roadmap progress, business value, risks, and strategic priorities to leadership and key stakeholders.

What you bring

Strong product ownership, product management, or business analysis capabilities.
Ability to manage technology platforms, digital products, or integration solutions.
Advanced backlog management and prioritization skills.
Experience creating and refining user stories and acceptance criteria.
Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and product delivery practices.
Ability to translate business requirements into technical outcomes.
Strong collaboration, stakeholder management, communication, and relationship-building skills.
Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and prioritization abilities.
Ability to evaluate platform performance using KPIs and data-driven insights.
Knowledge of API lifecycle management, API governance, and developer experience best practices.
Understanding of REST APIs, JSON, OAuth, OpenID Connect, and API security principles.
Familiarity with cloud-native architectures, microservices, and modern integration patterns.
Completed Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or relevant work experience.
5+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, Business Analyst, or in a related product leadership role.
Experience managing technology platforms, digital products, or enterprise integration solutions.
Experience working closely with software development teams and technical architects.
Experience supporting enterprise-scale digital transformation initiatives.
Experience with developer portals, developer experience initiatives, or customer-facing digital platforms.

Job Description

Okta is pursuing a Principal Group Product Manager to define Tenancy-as-a-Service for B2B SaaS on the Auth0/Okta platform. You will own tenant management, schemas, entitlements, and feature flags, shaping the roadmap and partnering with the ISV ecosystem to enable SaaS onboarding and lifecycle management. This hybrid role is based in Seattle, WA.

Responsibilities

Conduct hands-on research and prototyping of identity and tenancy solutions, plus market viability tests.
Immerse yourself in B2B software development to understand how multi-tenant SaaS is built, identify common pain points, and articulate challenges and opportunities in the space.
Own the lifecycle of B2B mass-management tooling, driving the strategy to simplify administration across hundreds of thousands of B2B organizations.
Design the roadmap for schema-driven operations, introducing type-safe custom schemas and Structured Tenant Metadata tied to the Auth0 Organization container, including change management for these schemas.
Collaborate with engineering and design to translate requirements into APIs and detailed specifications that enable delivery.
Develop roadmaps and compelling business cases that express product direction, financial strategy, and downstream alignment.
Adhere to the Product Delivery Lifecycle to realize a complete vision while maintaining high standards in security, architecture, and design.

Requirements

Minimum of five years of experience leading as a Product Manager or as a Team Lead in engineering.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, or completion of an engineering bootcamp within the same timeframe.
Experience developing on or working within multi-tenant SaaS applications.
Deep understanding of identity and directory protocols including OAuth, SAML, and SCIM.
Proven ability to design APIs and produce detailed specifications to enable engineering execution.
Practical experience with data analysis using SQL and BI tools.
Ability to leverage modern AI tools such as Claude Code and Codex to accelerate work while avoiding low-quality output.
