IT Product Owner II

Tyson Foods is hiring an IT Product Owner II in Springdale, AR (onsite) to connect business stakeholders with IT delivery teams. In this role, you’ll own business capabilities end to end, from discovery and requirements to implementation support, while applying hands-on development experience to shape solutions.

What you’ll do

• Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams.
• Elicit, analyze, document, and prioritize business requirements.
• Lead discovery sessions, process reviews, and solution workshops.
• Translate business needs into user stories, functional specifications, and acceptance criteria.
• Manage product backlogs, roadmaps, and enhancement pipelines.
• Prioritize work based on business value, risk, and technical feasibility.
• Own application strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle planning.
• Partner with business leaders to ensure technology solutions align with organizational objectives.
• Lead sprint planning, backlog grooming, and prioritization activities.
• Track project progress, risks, dependencies, and delivery milestones.
• Drive adoption of new features and process improvements.
• Review code quality and ensure adherence to development standards.
• Participate in architecture and technical design discussions.
• Support production issues and coordinate resolution efforts.

What you bring

• 1+ years of experience in application development, business analysis, or product ownership.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or another technical area (equivalent work experience may be acceptable).
• Experience gathering business requirements and converting them into technical solutions.
• Hands-on development experience in one or more technologies: .NET, Java, COBOL, APIs, Integration Platforms, SQL.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to balance business priorities with technical considerations.
