Product Design Engineer

ITT Inc. is hiring an Electro-Mechanical Product Design Engineer in Gilbert, AZ to support new product development across design, documentation, and evaluation.

• Engineering product setup, design, and management for new product development activities
• Create and maintain engineering BOMs including documentation creation and updates
• Design new components and assemblies to support product development needs
• Plan and manage multiple activities involving Engineering, Product Management, and Operational support
• Represent Product Engineering as a multi-functional team member
• Provide testing support with an overview within a Product Evaluation Lab
• Collaborate with Field Application Engineering throughout development and validation
• Maintain visibility to export controlled documents and information as required

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 7+ years of electro-mechanical product design experience in connectors or contacts
• CREO Parametric experience for 3D modeling and documentation
• ASME Y14.5 Dimensioning and Tolerancing, including GD&T
• Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently
• Highly self-motivated with a willingness to make a difference
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with different departments
• Working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, etc.)

Preferred additional qualifications

• Experience in electrical connectors and the Aerospace & Defense industry
• Experience in Filters, Fiber Optics, Micro-miniature, and/or High-Speed Data transfer (a plus)
• Knowledge of high-performance thermoplastics, aluminums, and copper alloys, including manufacturing requirements
• Knowledge of MIL-DTL, Mil-STD, and similar industry specifications and requirements
• Experience with DFSS, dfM, FMEA, DOE, and RCCA principles
• Ability to travel periodically (up to 20%)

Salary: USD 99,900 - 149,100 per yearly
