Product Manager
Job Description
Own strategy and execution for the ELIXIR Strings portfolio, translating customer needs into differentiated products while driving value across the global business.
Responsibilities
- Drive revenue and profit for the ELIXIR Strings portfolio by shaping cross-functional decisions that balance long-term profitability with near-term market needs.
- Build and execute a product strategy by leading new product ideas and concepts, creating and maintaining Product Concept Worksheets (PCWs), and integrating cross-functional input during development.
- Manage the product portfolio across the full product lifecycle, including retiring underperforming SKUs to make room for new offerings.
- Develop business cases for new product ideas by modeling volumes, pricing, COGS, and SG&A against targets.
- Guide tradeoffs across product development workstreams with responsibility for timeline, scope, and cost.
- Ensure fitness-for-use (FFU) by defining performance criteria and confirming each product meets its promised value.
- Partner with Compliance Taskforce teams on global regulations and labeling for product programs.
- Apply GBS principles including problem solving, lean daily management, and kaizen to revenue attainment, pricing strategy, and new product development.
- Conduct regular customer and consumer visits using Voice of Customer tools to gather, synthesize, and validate global insights for product and business model innovation.
- Own global pricing strategy and value positioning for ELIXIR Strings to grow Enterprise Value, support sales execution, and increase market share.
- Partner with Marketing to create, validate, and approve product claims aligned to actual performance.
- Maximize profitability by identifying opportunities across the value chain and supporting key investment decisions through the lifecycle.
- Contribute heavily to ELIXIR strategy development, share market insights that support top- and bottom-line growth, and own related action plans within Strategy Deployment initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree.
- Minimum 3 years experience as a Product Manager, or minimum 7 years in a combination of technical and market-facing roles with global scope and support for a consumer brand.
- Experience evaluating product performance and validating product claims using defined performance criteria, test data, or customer feedback.
- Ability to influence decisions without formal authority, including leading cross-functional discussions, maintaining an inclusive environment, and demonstrating understanding of equitable practices.
- Experience gathering end-user needs and converting them into clear product requirements and product concepts, including presenting concepts to cross-functional teams for review and alignment.
- Financial acumen, including interpreting P&L data and influencing decisions that impact profitability; experience owning product or portfolio-level profitability.
- Proven experience developing or executing value-based pricing strategies across regions or sales channels, including pricing discussions with distributors, retailers, or global customers.
- Experience developing product strategy using market insights, competitive understanding, and voice-of-customer data.
- Track record driving multiple complex priorities and prioritizing what matters most for product and business outcomes.
- Experience applying Lean Principles in manufacturing and business process settings.
- Ability to travel up to 30% (domestic and international) for customer meetings, end-user engagement, and industry events.

Pay
- $125,000 - $165,000 per year.
- Roles above $150k are eligible for the variable pay program each fiscal year, based on defined business performance metrics.
