Job Description
Product Manager – Advanced Product Development at Amphenol Sine Systems leads early-stage development and defines requirements for industrial connectivity solutions in a global, cross-functional environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead early-stage product development from concept definition through design feasibility for industrial connectivity solutions.
- Define product requirements, specifications, and validation/test plans aligned with customer needs and business goals.
- Conduct design analyses, including simulations, tolerance analysis, and DFMEA, to ensure robust and reliable solutions.
- Leverage advanced engineering methods, including AI-enabled tools, to boost innovation, efficiency, and data-driven decision making.
Requirements
- Extensive knowledge of plastics and metals materials, prototyping and testing, and related manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with transportation architectures and electrical connectivity systems.
- Ability to create and evaluate design proposals, specifications, and requirements to assess feasibility and cost.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret simulation and experimental data.
- 10+ years of experience in connector and terminal product design and development.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD (PTC Creo preferred), DoE, FMEA, Tolerance Analysis, and Validation planning; trainer level.
- Trainer-level knowledge of problem-solving methods (Fishbone, 5 Whys Analysis, etc.).
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills; fluent in English.
- Ability to work across time zones and with geographically distributed teams; willingness to travel periodically.
- Provide technical leadership, guidance, and training to internal and external partners.
- Contribute to technology roadmaps and innovation pipelines; stay aware of industry trends, competitor technologies, and regulatory changes.
