Salary ranges from USD 86,000 to 126,000 per year. This role is hybrid and based in Raleigh, NC with consideration for Woodridge, IL as noted in the summary.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the full lifecycle of selected AV connectivity product lines from concept through launch, ongoing support, and end of life.
- Establish a segmentation approach that differentiates architecture SKUs designed for design-in and high confidence from commodity SKUs that provide broad coverage and attach.
- Craft vertical-specific value propositions for Corporate, Education, Healthcare, and Industrial markets.
- Develop roadmaps that align with market shifts and technology transitions.
- Evaluate competitors such as Extron, Kramer, Legrand, Belden, StarTech, and Atlona to identify opportunities for displacement.
- Monitor standards and technologies including HDMI, DisplayPort, USB-C/USB4, HDBaseT, fiber, SDVoE, Dante AV, and IPMX as applicable.
- Translate evolving market trends into actionable product requirements.
- Define operating boundaries, documenting limits, failure modes, and degradation behavior under load.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and QA to create interoperability matrices for hosts, docks, displays, chipsets, and network conditions.
- Ensure predictable product behavior in mixed vendor environments and real-world scenarios.
- Develop sales enablement assets such as battlecards, positioning briefs, presentations, and objection handling guidance.
- Educate sales teams and channel partners on when to sell architecture SKUs versus commodity SKUs.
- Support key customer and integrator engagements as the product authority.
- Serve as the primary liaison among Manufacturing, Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Support.
- Drive clarity around requirements, prioritize features by customer impact, and manage tradeoffs transparently.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
- At least three years of experience in Product Management or a related field
- Experience in Pro AV, AV connectivity, networking hardware, or adjacent infrastructure markets

Career path and growth criteria
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
- Minimum of three years in product management or a related field
- Experience in Pro AV, AV connectivity, networking hardware, or adjacent infrastructure markets
You will set yourself apart by demonstrating some or all of the following
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field
- Proven track record of growing a product line
- Understanding of product development processes or stage gate methodologies
- Experience with SAP, Enovia, CRM, and Office 365 Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI)
- Ability to balance technical depth with practical business outcomes
- Experience with AV over IP architectures or large scale AV systems
- Background in integrator driven or channel heavy markets
- Familiarity with enterprise IT environments and AV/IT convergence
- Experience creating reference architectures or validation frameworks
- CTS, CTS D, or similar credentials
