Product Owner

Vaco by Highspring is hiring a Product Owner (Finance Systems) for a 12-month contract in Nashville, TN. This hybrid role supports a business transformation initiative by managing the finance product backlog, aligning finance stakeholders on requirements, and partnering with engineering to deliver and validate prioritized work in an Agile environment.

Role Overview

The Product Owner will be responsible for finance-related applications and initiatives within an Agile/Scrum delivery model. The position focuses on gathering requirements from finance stakeholders, translating priorities into actionable user stories, and working with developers to deliver and validate completed work through user acceptance testing.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage the product backlog for finance-related applications and initiatives
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and understand priorities
• Write user stories and acceptance criteria for the development team
• Lead backlog grooming and prioritization activities
• Partner closely with developers, business users, and leadership teams across the development lifecycle
• Participate in sprint planning, standups, reviews, and other Agile ceremonies
• Support user acceptance testing and validate completed work
• Serve as the main point of contact between Finance and Technology teams

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner in an Agile/Scrum environment
• Strong background in finance, accounting, or financial operations
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
• Experience with invoicing, financial workflows, system integrations, and process automation
• Strong experience managing backlogs, writing user stories, and defining acceptance criteria
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work effectively with both technical teams and business users
• Experience presenting to senior leadership and cross-functional teams

• Location: Nashville, TN (hybrid)
• Contract length: 12 months
• Job type: contract
• Schedule: 3 onsite days per week and remote work on Fridays
• Additional onsite days may be required based on business needs
• Must currently live in the Nashville area

Compensation and Screening

• Compensation: USD 60 - 70 per hourly
