Job Description
Senior Product Owner for the ERMS team overseeing legacy systems, agile practices, backlog management, stakeholder engagement, and delivery of scalable IT solutions aligned with roadmaps and budgets.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders across upstream and downstream systems and functions to identify business priorities and dependencies on legacy applications and workflows.
- Lead strategic stakeholder engagement for the assigned domains, applying deep knowledge of business processes and system constraints.
- Implement agile best practices to maintain and modernize legacy systems while balancing stability with iterative improvements.
- Own backlog prioritization and release planning for the assigned product area.
- Document user stories and epics to accurately capture business requirements.
- Refine and maintain product backlogs, prioritize user stories, and define scope, objectives, deliverables, and requirements.
- Collaborate with architects to translate business strategies into feasible solutions within existing system constraints, identifying efficiency opportunities.
- Drive delivery of scalable solutions aligned with IT roadmaps and portfolio budgets.
- Coordinate with Operations to ensure legacy systems continuously support core functions without disruption.
- Support UAT, regression testing, and training efforts for updates or transitions involving legacy systems.
- Support technology and process transformations for US and Bermuda operations.
- Measure product performance and value delivery using KPIs and metrics tied to business outcomes.
- Ensure backlog prioritization aligns with IT investment roadmaps and budget targets.
- Partner with Product Managers, Architects, and Enterprise teams to maintain conceptual and technical integrity across the portfolio.
- Prioritize features that enhance customer experience and operational efficiency, championing customer-centric outcomes.
- Ensure product changes comply with regulatory and compliance standards.
- Stay informed on emerging technologies and industry best practices to guide product strategy.
Requirements
- 5+ years of insurance experience is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience is required.
- Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role in technology or operations.
- Ability to manage multiple, diverse stakeholders.
- Solution-oriented, creative-minded thinker.
- Strong grasp of Agile methodologies and product management practices.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency with Jira and Confluence for backlog management and documentation.
- Ability to translate strategic goals into actionable business requirements.
- Strong ethics and professionalism with a commitment to compliance and integrity.

Pay Information
- Base salary offered will be within USD 92,880 - 159,610 per year, based on compensable factors such as education, experience, training, licensure, demonstrated competencies, geographic location, and other factors.
- The national average salary ranges cited are USD 92,880 - 127,710/year for Product Owner with 15% incentive, and USD 116,080 - 159,610/year for Sr. Product Owner with 25% incentive.
