Senior IT Product Owner

Tyson Foods is seeking a Senior IT Product Owner to help maximize measurable business value by solving the right problems before production investment. In this onsite role in Springdale, AR (1st shift, United States), you will shape product vision and roadmap direction aligned to business objectives, partner across teams, and drive end-to-end lifecycle accountability through post-release adoption analytics.

What you’ll do

• Own problem clarity, solution intent, and value realization end-to-end, including framing and validating problems worth solving, defining value hypotheses, and establishing success measures.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to understand market trends, customer needs, and competitor offerings.
• Collect and analyze user feedback through surveys, interviews, and usability testing to surface pain points and improvement opportunities.
• Create feedback loops before development, ensuring usability, assumptions, and value are validated prior to build.
• Partner with stakeholders across customers, sales, marketing, and engineering to gather and prioritize product requirements.
• Ensure requirements include a current and future state process map, shared and signed off with your sponsor.
• Contribute to the product roadmap by defining features and release timelines based on business objectives and user needs.
• Maintain an outcome-driven backlog with acceptance criteria tied to business outcomes and user impact, not outputs.
• Prioritize features and enhancements based on user experience impact, business value, and technical feasibility.
• Coordinate project activities, tasks, and timelines so milestones and deliverables are met on time and within scope.
• Manage small projects end-to-end.
• Develop and maintain product documentation, including user stories, feature specifications, and release notes to keep stakeholders aligned.
• Assist with functional and user acceptance testing (UAT) and validation to confirm features meet quality standards and user expectations.
• Define and track KPIs and metrics to measure product performance and success.
• Continuously improve by iterating on feedback from users and stakeholders and optimizing using real-world usage data, analytics, and AI-enabled insights.
• Support customer-facing teams by responding to customer inquiries, addressing product-related issues, and assisting with training and onboarding.
• Stay current on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in product management and seek learning opportunities.
• Collaborate with product management peers and share knowledge to build a culture of continuous learning.
• Mentor and guide junior team members to support their professional growth and team success.
• Make audit-ready, defensible decisions that support Finance, Audit, and Executive Steering.
• Operate security and privacy-by-design through design, threat modeling, and data protection standards, especially for AI and integrations.
• Perform other assigned duties that align with Tyson Foods’ vision, mission, and values and are within your scope of practice.

What you bring

• Bachelor’s Degree or relevant experience (preferably in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems).
• Any relevant IT Certification.
• 3+ years of relevant or practical experience.
• Intermediate knowledge of Agile Product and Waterfall methodology.
• Effective communication, including presenting to senior leadership.
• Value-based decision-making and strong analytical skills for diagnosing and solving issues.
• Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and handle responsibilities.
• Experience using visuals, prototypes, and data-backed narratives to communicate complex decisions.
• AI-enabled discovery, prototyping, and validation capabilities (workflow modeling, mockups, scenario analysis) and execution of responsible AI principles, including transparency, explainability, bias awareness, and data stewardship.
