Job Description

A Senior Data Product Owner based in Tampa, FL onsite, responsible for defining and prioritizing the Team Backlog to align program priorities, preserve feature integrity, and guide Agile teams to deliver value.

Responsibilities

  • Advocate for customer expectations on new and existing products, translating insights into actionable backlog items for multiple agile teams.
  • Present product features in a way that is clear and actionable for the development team.
  • Lead and refine the product backlog and the user stories backlog across several agile teams to support implementation.
  • Facilitate backlog grooming sessions with a team of product owners to sharpen priorities and acceptance criteria.
  • Participate in sprint planning and sprint demos to provide feedback on outcomes and guide the scrum team.
  • Monitor development progress and plan release timelines to ensure timely delivery of value.
  • Engage with customers and end users to gather information on desired product features.
  • Prepare reports to keep management and stakeholders informed about product development operations and status.
  • Analyze customer opinions and feedback to identify features or components that will add value.
  • Assess the product value stream to highlight areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Measure product performance and the value delivered to clients, adjusting strategies as needed.
  • Develop and implement action plans to build and sustain demand for the product.
  • Ensure implemented features deliver value to end users and meet strategic objectives.
  • Provide ongoing insights to agile teams to accelerate delivery timelines.
  • Challenge the agile team approach on stories to improve overall product value.
  • Stay informed about technologies and methodologies relevant to the department’s practice areas.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in support of project development and implementation.
  • Encourage best practices within the department by providing capabilities and guidance.
  • Collaborate with other departments to leverage shared expertise and resources.
  • Share best practices with other product owners to foster an enterprise level approach.
  • Advocate for the technical development of department members through agile team activities.

Pay Information

  • Base salary range is USD 116,080 - 159,610 per year, determined by factors such as job-relevant education, experience, training, licensure, demonstrated competencies, and geographic location; a 25% incentive is noted in the national average for this role.
