Responsibilities

  • Advocate for customer expectations when shaping new and existing products
  • Articulate product features in a way that is easily understood by the development teams
  • Curate and maintain the product backlog and user stories for several agile teams
  • Lead backlog grooming sessions with a cadre of product owners
  • Participate in sprint planning and demos, providing feedback on sprint outcomes to the scrum teams
  • Track development progress and plan product releases
  • Engage with customers and end users to gather feature expectations
  • Produce reports to keep management and stakeholders informed about development activities
  • Analyze customer feedback to identify features or components that add value
  • Evaluate the product value stream to pinpoint improvement opportunities
  • Measure product performance and client value to guide adjustments
  • Develop and execute plans to build and sustain demand for a product
  • Ensure features deliver value to end users and align with strategic goals
  • Offer ongoing guidance to agile teams to accelerate delivery timelines
  • Challenge the team's approach to stories to enhance overall product value
  • Develop familiarity with technologies and methodologies relevant to the department's practice areas
  • Serve as a subject matter expert to support project development and implementation
  • Promote best practices within the department by sharing capabilities and guidance
  • Partner with other departments to leverage shared expertise and resources
  • Share best practices with other product owners to foster an enterprise-wide approach
  • Advocate for the technical development of department members through agile team activities
