Job Description

Provation is hiring a Sr. Product Owner in Tampa, FL (onsite). In this role, you translate product vision into customer and business value through clear backlog strategy, strong Agile execution, and measurable outcomes. You will partner across teams to shape requirements, align UX for sprint planning, and define the KPIs that help guide decisions.

What you’ll do

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to convert future vision and requirements into well-defined epics and stories, ensuring alignment to product goals and appropriate consideration of emerging technologies.
  • Serve as the primary connection point between stakeholders and the development team, providing regular updates on progress, changes, and key decisions.
  • Support one or more Agile Development Teams by acting as a central reference for system and product functionality decisions.
  • Own and maintain the product backlog, prioritizing features, user stories, and tasks based on business value, customer needs, market trends, and strategic opportunities.
  • Continuously groom and refine the backlog using stakeholder and end-user feedback, evolving priorities, and new insights.
  • Translate high-level requirements into detailed, implementable user stories that support effective workflows, automation, and decision support where applicable.
  • Define acceptance criteria so sprint outcomes have a clear definition of done.
  • Work with UX to ensure backlog items include wireframes and UI designs for sprint planning; provide design feedback, participate in design sprints, and support user acceptance testing.
  • Participate in sprint planning to select stories and tasks and confirm the team has a clear understanding of work scope.
  • Partner with teams and stakeholders to plan and prioritize releases aligned to market needs and business goals.
  • Support quality by accepting or rejecting work during sprint reviews.
  • Identify and mitigate delivery risks, coordinating with the release manager on timelines, escalation, and mitigation strategies.
  • Help develop and present business cases for new features and initiatives, keeping work aligned with strategic goals and stakeholder expectations.
  • Define data-driven KPIs and measures to track feature impact and inform ongoing decisions.

What you’ll need

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field
  • 4 to 7 years of relevant work experience
  • Experience with Product and Development tools such as ADO, Jira, or similar tools
  • Healthcare and technical expertise are highly preferred, including experience with data, API integrations, and interoperability standards such as HL7 and FHIR
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, using data and metrics to support assumptions and evaluate outcomes, including opportunities related to emerging technologies and AI-enabled capabilities where applicable
  • Leadership and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities
  • Understanding of the industry, market trends, and customer needs
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Strong collaboration skills across Engineering, UI/UX, Product Management, leadership, and internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to travel up to 30%

Compensation and bonus

  • Salary range: USD 109,700 - 183,200 per year
  • Bonus eligibility: This position is eligible for bonus as part of the total compensation package
