Responsibilities

  • Apply strong product and industry knowledge to help the organization maintain a competitive edge
  • Engage with customers and stakeholders to gather VOC requirements, refine needs, and obtain product feedback
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver features and complex products
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the technology stack and its impact on the final product
  • Partner with UX, Architecture and engineering to address multiple issues and decisions
  • Conduct customer and stakeholder interviews and develop personas
  • Use expert persuasion to align customer, product management, and engineering teams
  • Own release and sprint backlogs for MVPs and quarterly releases
  • Manage the backlog and continuously prioritize to keep 1-2 sprints ready
  • Prioritize continuously based on validated customer problems and needs
  • Demonstrate strategic problem decomposition and the ability to navigate ambiguity
  • Engage with development teams about half the time to facilitate discussions, clarify requirements, accept stories, and support testing
  • Translate unstructured work requests into actionable user stories and work units
  • Partner with Development Leadership to sustain a healthy development process
  • Mentor junior team members
  • Provide technical leadership to TPMs across the organization and apply Agile expertise
  • Coach others to improve delivery and collaboration
  • Oversee design and implementation of Oracle WMS software
  • Define overall architecture and conduct end-user training
  • Develop and execute test plans, and conduct CRP, SIT and UAT
  • Work with third party integrations such as Parcel Carrier integrations and LTL/TL freight management applications
  • Train teams on facility configuration within WMS to ensure proper functionality
  • Develop WMS label printing and Web Report tools
  • Implement Supply Chain Management solutions and assess WMS impact on related processes
  • Support continuous business process improvement initiatives
  • Support quarterly WMS system upgrades
  • Document processors and incidents to ensure robust audit controls
  • Independently manage new WMS site implementation projects
  • Independently manage project budgets, staffing, and funds
  • Lead WMS application integration including ERP integration and future enhancements

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience
  • Associates degree with a minimum of 8 years of professional experience
  • High School diploma with a minimum of 10 years of professional experience
  • At least 5 years of professional experience implementing WMS functionalities
  • Military experience is considered equivalent to professional experience
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship available
  • 8+ years implementing WMS functionalities such as Oracle Shipping, Wave Planning, Pick-pack-and-ship, Load Planning, Shipping documentation, Replenishment, Product Receiving (PO/IB Shipments), Putaway, Slotting, Cross docking, and Labeling
  • Initiative to explore alternative technologies and approaches to solving problems
  • Ability to break down problems, document problem statements, and estimate efforts
  • Skill in analyzing the impact of technology choices
  • Strong negotiation abilities to align stakeholders and present a unified perspective to the scrum team
  • Keen understanding of the competitive landscape
  • Knowledge of market technologies to inform buy vs build decisions, MVP scoping, and timing
  • Influences through others and builds support for ideas
  • Anticipates downstream consequences and tailors influence strategies accordingly
  • Ability to articulate the rationale behind decisions and their implications, with ongoing reflection for improvement
  • Willingness to drive change and participate in technical strategy planning
