Xactware Product Manager I

Own product discovery and delivery for Xactimate in Lehi, UT (onsite) while aligning outcomes, metrics, and stakeholders for the property insurance industry.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery efforts with the product trio to deeply understand the problem space
• Validate product ideas with real users via interviews, shadowing, and testing
• Prioritize opportunities using desirability (customer), viability (business), feasibility (engineering), and usability (design)
• Translate validated opportunities into user stories, requirements, and success criteria
• Maintain a transparent backlog aligned to current priorities and expected outcomes
• Deliver continuous product iterations that can be measured and learned from
• Partner with engineering and QA to deliver high-quality, usable, and performant solutions
• Establish, communicate, and manage the product release cadence
• Define and track success metrics for the features and problems the team owns
• Use analytics tools, support tickets, and qualitative feedback to guide product decisions
• Validate impact with data and adjust direction as needed
• Conduct research using industry trends, market data, and customer feedback to inform improvements
• Track and report product progress, including success or failure of each initiative
• Make product decisions within established frameworks and with guidance from senior product leaders
• Keep stakeholders informed and engaged while maintaining team autonomy
• Collaborate cross-functionally with claims operations, marketing, sales, and customer success teams
• Contribute to quarterly planning by mapping team initiatives to company OKRs
• Represent the product in customer calls, internal and external meetings, and key events
• Support product leadership on developing, communicating, and executing strategy for property estimating solutions
• Complete performance objectives, special projects, and other duties as assigned
• Ship capabilities that improve one or more team-level KPIs
• Demonstrate a problem ownership mindset and outcomes-first thinking
• Facilitate discovery and delivery activities with growing confidence and clarity
• Build cross-functional trust and a reputation as an empowered decision-maker
• Represent the product vision and roadmap to stakeholders and customers
• Demonstrate proficiency with Xactware products and the broader property claims ecosystem
• Prepare to scale into a PM II role with broader scope and strategic ownership

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, design, insurance, or a related field, or equivalent work-related experience and training
• 1 to 3 years of experience in product management, business analysis, UX, or technical roles
• Proficiency in leveraging AI to achieve improved results
• Demonstrate product discovery proficiency to define problems, understand users, and deliver business outcomes
• Solid grasp of agile and product operating model principles
• Excellent communication skills for storytelling, alignment, and documentation
• Growth mindset with high curiosity and humility
• Intermediate understanding of property claims, restoration, and contracting industries preferred
• Understanding of Xactware’s core products and insurance estimating concepts preferred
• Experience with product analytics tools
• Ability to work on multiple projects in various stages simultaneously
• Strong time and priority management skills
• Experience with Agile work management and issue tracking tools such as JIRA
• Willingness to travel occasionally for customer research or industry events
