Agile Product Owner

Cepeda Systems and Software Analysis is seeking an Agile Product Owner to support NASIC at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Beavercreek, OH.

Responsibilities

• Create, refine, and prioritize user stories and acceptance criteria reflecting stakeholder needs and system requirements
• Coordinate and align technical priorities with engineering, program management, and development teams
• Support core Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily team alignment, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
• Translate system needs and mission requirements into actionable work for development
• Manage Agile tool environments to optimize backlog structure, workflow automation, dashboards, and reporting structures
• Define mission product architecture requirements

Requirements

• Master’s degree in a relevant field, or a Bachelor’s plus 4 additional years of experience
• 10+ years of experience in Agile software development environments
• Experience performing Product Owner responsibilities, including backlog management and sprint support
• Experience with workflow design, automation, dashboards, and governance
• Ability to integrate and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders
• Strong understanding of Agile frameworks
• Ability to translate engineering, systems, or mission requirements into development tasks
• Proficiency in Agile project management tools, especially Jira, Confluence, and Azure DevOps
• Strong communication skills to express technical needs and manage expectations
• Ability to balance competing priorities and maintain clarity of vision for development teams

• Atlassian certifications: Certified Jira Project Administrator or Atlassian Agile Fundamentals
• SAFe Product Owner / Product Manager
