Job Description

Popular Bank is hiring an AI Technical Product Owner to help shape and scale its Microsoft Power Platform ecosystem in a hybrid setting in San Juan, PR. In this role, you will drive strategy, adoption, governance, and continuous evolution for Power Platform and AI-enabled capabilities, partnering closely with business and technology stakeholders to build a roadmap that supports measurable value.

What you’ll focus on

You will define and execute the vision for the Microsoft Power Platform ecosystem, translating business priorities, technology initiatives, governance requirements, and adoption opportunities into actionable platform initiatives. This includes managing intake, demand, evaluation, and prioritization processes, then aligning stakeholders through planning sessions, roadmap reviews, and ongoing prioritization discussions.

As a primary liaison between business stakeholders, platform teams, and citizen developers, you will also lead governance initiatives that support sustainable growth. You will coordinate governance reviews and platform assessments, drive continuous improvement, and strengthen operational controls by partnering with technology, cybersecurity, risk, compliance, and audit teams.

A key part of the job is building visibility. You will define success metrics, KPIs, and value realization measures for platform investments, and develop executive reporting and dashboarding capabilities that track adoption, usage, compliance, and overall platform health.

AI and community enablement

On the AI side, you will support adoption strategies for Copilot Studio and other AI-enabled capabilities within the Power Platform ecosystem. You will define intake, prioritization, and governance frameworks for AI-powered use cases, and ensure AI capabilities align with enterprise standards and policies. You will also establish operational guidelines for ownership expectations, monitoring practices, and lifecycle management for AI-enabled solutions.

To enable scale through people, you will lead the Power Platform Community of Practice and related engagement initiatives. This includes establishing and maintaining a citizen development operating model that balances innovation, supportability, governance, and business value, and running a Champions Program to accelerate adoption and build platform advocates across business units. You will create standards, templates, guidance, naming conventions, and best practices for makers and citizen developers, and facilitate training sessions, workshops, office hours, community events, and adoption campaigns.
