Air and Missile Defense (AMD) Engagement Product Owner (PO)

Lead and validate engagement operations software development within the Army PEO Fires IFMC Project Office.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize and validate development software for the Engagement Operations (EO) team.
• Review and understand Systems Engineering concepts, designs, and algorithms; provide guidance to the development team.
• Partner with program management to set priorities for capabilities and defects for each product increment and sprint.
• Deliver technical leadership briefings covering: status, risks, impacts, and recommended courses of action.
• Advise leadership on competing capabilities and performance considerations affecting the IFMC mission.
• Provide oversight to an EO software development team.
• Verify team output against agreed-upon acceptance criteria, including participation in code reviews.

Requirements

• Basic understanding of EO concepts, including engagement planning and scheduling, threat evaluation, target selection, battlespace prediction, and sensor resource management.
• Ability to oversee an EO software development team and verify work against agreed-upon acceptance criteria, including attending code reviews.
• Experience working directly with Agile software developers.
• Fluency in the Microsoft Office toolset.
• U.S. citizenship.
• Bachelor’s degree (or advanced degree) from an accredited college (ABET preferred) in engineering, the sciences, or mathematics.
• Minimum 10 years combined Government/DoD experience performing the essential duties listed above.
• Must be able to obtain a Secret security clearance or higher.
• Plus: Prior Product Owner experience on a SCRUM team.
• Plus: Knowledge in IBCS, PATRIOT, MEADS, THAAD, C2BMC, or AEGIS and familiarity with current EO implementations in one or more DoD services.
