Associate Product Owner

The remote Associate Product Owner supports the delivery of high quality SaaS products by helping to manage technical requirements, facilitate cross-functional collaboration, and ensure alignment with business objectives. The role involves contributing to sprint planning and backlog management within a distributed team setting.

Responsibilities

• Support cross-functional teams to deliver SaaS products that meet quality standards within defined timelines.
• Collaborate with senior developers and stakeholders to interpret technical requirements and help align project objectives with strategic goals.
• Contribute to defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables in line with organizational priorities.
• Assist in developing and maintaining project plans, scope documents, and schedules.
• Foster effective team communication and collaboration to sustain a cohesive team environment.
• Under supervision, manage and prioritize the product backlog, accounting for technical dependencies and trade-offs.
• Attend project status meetings and provide updates to stakeholders as needed.
• Identify potential risks and help develop contingency plans.
• Ensure that deliverables satisfy quality standards and align with both technical and business requirements.

Requirements

• Product and project management experience
• Knowledge of Scrum
• Familiarity with Agile practices
• Strong technical understanding
• Experience in mobile app development for iOS and Android
• Proven track record as a Product Owner or similar role, ideally with SaaS platforms or mobile apps
• Understanding of Scrum and Agile methodologies, with experience leading sprints or managing projects in these frameworks
• Fundamental knowledge of the software development lifecycle, technical architecture, and mobile technologies (iOS, Android)
• Familiarity with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript to facilitate communication with development teams
• Experience with project management tools such as JIRA, Trello, or Asana
• Ability to evaluate technical requirements and align development work with strategic goals
• 0-2 years of experience
