Job Description

Shape how business needs turn into reliable software outcomes. As an Associate Product Owner at the United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee, you will bridge stakeholders and technical teams to support discovery, agile delivery, and the rollout of high-quality applications. This hybrid role is based out of the Colorado Springs Downtown Headquarters, with eligibility for USOPC benefits.

What you’ll do

You’ll work across product and delivery activities, partnering with stakeholders to translate business goals into actionable work and supporting technical execution. In agile environments that use kanban/scrum, you will help teams prepare and deliver new functionality through ceremonies like backlog grooming and sprint planning.

  • Coordinate requirements gathering, process mapping, and the translation of business needs into clear user stories
  • Support product roadmaps by prioritizing features and enhancements aligned to business goals
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for technology applications, helping ensure they meet business user needs
  • Manage user access, governance, and application configuration to support business requirements
  • Facilitate communication and feedback between stakeholders and technical teams
  • Drive quality readiness through QA and UAT so solutions meet stated requirements
  • Create and maintain documentation for applications and new features
  • Support adoption by developing and delivering training for new and existing users
  • Participate in agile workflows to manage work in progress and track milestones
  • Support implementation from planning through launch, and monitor project status across teams and divisions
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a Computer/IT-related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • 2+ years of business system analysis (preferred)
  • Experience with Agile methodology
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to organize, specify, and model requirements for completeness and clarity
  • Ability to quickly understand business operations
  • Critical thinking, conflict resolution, and independence in execution
  • Exceptional organization and effective communication, with strong listening skills
  • Adaptability to new stakeholder groups and technology

Role details

  • Location: Colorado Springs Downtown Headquarters / Hybrid (United States)
  • Compensation: USD 63,500 - 65,000 per year
  • Schedule: Full-Time, Exempt, intended to work 40 hours per week
  • Travel: Some domestic and international travel, possibly for extended periods during Games
  • Hours: Non-traditional work hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Physical requirements: Ability to move/lift 50 pounds
  • Note: Regular attendance at work is an essential job function
  • Incentive: Eligible for the Annual Incentive Award Program with a 10% target (USOPC may change or eliminate at any time)
