Product - Strategic Product Owner
Job Description
Hybrid role in Moon Township, PA with a focus on delivering incremental iteration and program deliverables aligned to program priorities. As a Strategic Product Owner, you will partner closely with Product Management, stakeholders, the ScrumMaster, and the Agile Team to shape requirements, acceptance criteria, and backlog content so the team can execute with clarity and impact.
How you’ll contribute
- Collaborate with Product Management and stakeholders to understand the Features, and work with the ScrumMaster and Agile Team to break them into smaller, incremental stories and iteration deliverables.
- Partner with other Product Owners and stakeholders to define and prioritize stories, including identifying and determining dependencies.
- Own the team backlog by defining stories, establishing story acceptance criteria, and leading story refinement to support iteration planning and program increment planning.
- Help manage requirements and prioritization within the Product Backlog using business value ROI, alignment with Product Strategy, and resource capacity.
- Build and leverage working relationships with business and product stakeholders to keep requirements grounded and actionable.
- Assist with integrating programs across channels with internal partners, including managing program effectiveness against target metrics.
- Use effective communication to surface essential requirements information clearly and consistently.
- Under general supervision, define and articulate requirements as User Stories and acceptance criteria as Use Cases.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What you bring
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems (or related area) required. Additional related experience may offset degree requirements.
- Two (2) years of industry experience or experience supporting business or technologies, including Project Management experience and/or SAFe Product Manager/Owner experience. Additional related skills, education, or degree may offset experience requirements.
- Strong analytical, computer, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of Agile and Lean values and concepts, plus scaling experience with the SAFe framework required.
- Proven ability to understand complex ideas, break them into smaller sequential plans, and account for interdependencies to deliver solutions.
- Solutions-based problem solving, including asking probing questions and identifying underlying issues.
- Software skills, including Microsoft Office and web-based applications.
Job conditions and location
- Hybrid position located in Memphis, TN or Pittsburgh, PA; candidates must live within 50 miles of the campus location.
- Employees are required to work at the FedEx campus location several times per week.
- Some travel may be required.
