Product Owner
Job Description
Guidehouse is looking for a Product Owner to join an Agile scrum team in McLean, VA. In this onsite role, you will help translate business process understanding into documented requirements, collaborate on UI/UX mockups, and guide the product through demonstrations and User Acceptance Testing.
Reporting into a development lifecycle that includes active Agile collaboration, you will participate in analysis activities such as fit/gap and needs assessments, and serve as the Product Owner throughout delivery, including management and end user demos at key points.
What you’ll do
- Participate in fit/gap analysis sessions to understand clients’ business processes.
- Conduct analysis to determine client operational objectives by studying business functions, gathering information, and evaluating output requirements and formats.
- Perform needs assessments as appropriate by collecting information on work procedures, workflow, reports, and other customer business needs.
- Determine system utilization requirements through research and testing of systems.
- Document requirements, and create workflow and process diagrams to support customer business needs.
- Collaborate with the UI/UX team to support mockups based on your requirements.
- Act as the Product Owner member of the scrum team across the Agile development lifecycle.
- Organize demonstrations of functionality for management, end users, and internal staff throughout the Agile development lifecycle.
- Conduct User Acceptance Testing with end users or on their behalf.
Required qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Minimum four (4) years of experience, or eight (8) years of experience in lieu of Degree.
- Experience using Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience in creating workflows and mockups.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain policies, procedures, and technical information clearly and accurately.
- Strong conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience gathering and engaging in business process analysis.
- Experience in Agile development processes.
- Strong organizational and planning skills, including prioritizing multiple priorities in a timely manner.
- Comfort working with and interfacing with clients across different parts of the business.
- Comfort with technology, including web-based systems.
- Self-motivated, able to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to adapt quickly in a rapid, changing environment.
- Must be able to obtain Public Trust clearance.

- Location: McLean, VA (onsite)
- Travel required: up to 10%
Compensation
- USD 98,000 - 163,000 per year
