Job Description

The AVP, Product Manager for Identity & Access Management (IAM) at LPL Financial Corp defines, prioritizes, and delivers IAM capabilities by working closely with product, technology, cybersecurity, operations, risk, and business teams to improve secure access experiences and controls.

Role Focus

In this position, you will support the IAM product strategy and execution by translating business objectives, user needs, and risk considerations into a clear roadmap and delivery priorities. You will partner across teams to define requirements, manage delivery execution, and drive continuous improvement based on feedback and adoption outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of the IAM product strategy, roadmap, and delivery priorities aligned to business objectives, user needs, and risk considerations.
  • Partner with engineering, architecture, cybersecurity, operations, and business stakeholders to define product requirements and translate strategic priorities into actionable plans.
  • Own prioritization of features, enhancements, defects, and technical dependencies for assigned IAM capabilities.
  • Create, refine, and maintain epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria to support agile delivery.
  • Act as the primary product partner for Scrum teams supporting IAM capabilities, maintaining alignment between stakeholder needs and delivery execution.
  • Support product delivery through backlog management, release planning, dependency coordination, readiness activities, and post-release follow-up.
  • Gather and synthesize feedback from users, stakeholders, and partner teams to inform product decisions and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor product adoption, delivery outcomes, and stakeholder feedback to identify improvement opportunities and guide roadmap tradeoffs.
  • Collaborate across teams to maintain alignment on priorities, timelines, dependencies, and success measures.
  • Help prepare product updates, roadmap materials, and progress reporting for leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Partner with control and technology teams to support appropriate standards for security, resiliency, accessibility, and operational effectiveness.
  • Stay current on IAM trends, emerging technologies, and industry best practices to inform product enhancements and delivery decisions.
  • Contribute to the evolution of product management practices within the IAM domain, including stakeholder engagement, execution discipline, and ways of working.

Required Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in product management, product ownership, business analysis, or a related role within technology-enabled environments.
  • 3+ years of experience working in agile delivery environments with direct responsibility for backlog management, prioritization, or product execution.
  • Experience translating business needs, user feedback, and technical constraints into product requirements, user stories, and delivery priorities.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with technology, security, operations, risk, and business stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting delivery of enterprise platforms, internal-facing products, or shared capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate priorities, tradeoffs, and progress to stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make thoughtful, data-informed decisions.
  • Experience in Identity & Access Management, cybersecurity, or enterprise platform domains.
  • Familiarity with IAM concepts such as authentication, authorization, identity lifecycle management, SSO, MFA, access governance, federation, privileged access, and directory services.
  • Exposure to IAM platforms such as Okta, Ping, ForgeRock, or Microsoft Entra ID.

Compensation

Pay range: USD 109,283 - 182,104 per year
