Business Analyst / Product Owner (Data Projects)

Bridgenext Digital Engineering is hiring an experienced Business Analyst / Product Owner for Data Projects to help deliver data-driven initiatives that map clearly to business outcomes. This hybrid role in Dallas, TX (occasional in-office presence for candidates within commuting distance) focuses on turning complex data needs into prioritized roadmaps, measurable success metrics, and aligned delivery across business and technical teams.

What you’ll do

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements, translating them into clear technical specifications.
• Own the roadmap for data initiatives, prioritizing features based on business impact.
• Partner with engineering, data science, and analytics teams to support successful project delivery.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform product positioning and feature prioritization.
• Define, track, and report on KPIs and success metrics for data projects.
• Serve as a communication bridge between non-technical stakeholders and technical teams.
• Run user research, incorporate feedback, and refine product iterations.
• Manage the product backlog, ensuring user stories are well-documented and prioritized.
• Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives as part of an Agile/Scrum workflow.
• Identify risks and dependencies early, and outline mitigation strategies throughout delivery.

What you bring

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Product Owner on data-focused projects.
• Proven experience with data warehousing, analytics platforms, or data pipeline projects.
• Strong data foundations, including ETL, data modeling, analytics, and reporting.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Tool proficiency including Jira, Confluence, SQL (basic understanding), and BI platforms.
• Ability to work effectively in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Preferred and additional strengths

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Certification in Business Analysis (CBAP, CCBA) or Product Management.
• Solid English written and verbal communication skills, with strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
• Ability to work as both an individual contributor and a team player, maintaining composure and collaborating effectively.
