Data Product Owner I

EchoStar is looking for an IT Product Owner I to help align technical delivery with business outcomes in an Agile environment. In this onsite role in Littleton, CO, you’ll support the bridge between product roadmaps and the systems and basic network dependencies that make features possible.

What you’ll do

• Work with cross-functional teams to deliver products that reflect strategic business requirements and create operational value
• Translate product direction into a prioritized backlog made up of detailed user stories and clear acceptance criteria
• Identify and document basic system dependencies across APIs and data services to support cohesive product development
• Track and report delivery progress using Agile metrics such as velocity, capacity, and iteration retrospectives
• Coordinate with specialized IT teams, including Security, Data Architecture, and Compliance, to perform impact analysis for new requirements
• Support acceptance testing and help coordinate production deployments to ensure releases meet functional standards
• Use AI-driven productivity tools to streamline user story creation and assist with generating technical documentation

Requirements

• Foundational understanding of Agile methodologies, with participation in iteration planning and grooming sessions
• Basic technical understanding of APIs, system dependencies, and relational database management concepts
• Developing analytical skills for basic technical and functional impact analysis on system requirements
• Good communication and organizational skills to coordinate cross-functional resources and work with stakeholders in a distributed environment
• Aptitude for learning and troubleshooting basic IT networking and data processes
• Interest in an AI Innovation mindset, including learning to apply emerging AI tools to strengthen requirement elicitation and product documentation
• Exposure to or participation in the lifecycle of IT products or software development processes
• Basic familiarity with Jira and ServiceNow for backlog tracking and operations
• At least 1+ years of experience as an Associate Product Owner, Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or equivalent technical support/coordination role
• Willingness to participate in at least one in-person interview, which may include a live whiteboarding or technical assessment session

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business discipline

• Salary: USD 72,400 - 103,400 per year
