What you’ll do
- Partner with business teams and Subject Matter Experts to translate strategy and vision into deliverable outcomes by writing, refining, accepting, and prioritizing stories and features that balance investment with business value while staying aligned with compliance needs.
- Own and maintain a prioritized backlog for one or more Agile teams, including complete user stories with acceptance criteria that are consumable and testable.
- Review and accept outputs from I/T and business development to confirm acceptance criteria are complete.
- Act as the direct business representative with delivery teams, bringing the customer perspective throughout the product delivery cycle.
- Collaborate with development teams and product managers to define and adhere to release schedules, and provide business validation and support, including evening and weekend availability for production deployments.
- Work in a cross-functional environment with user experience partners, designers, business analysts, developers, testers, and others to execute and release in alignment with program and product roadmaps.
- Partner with sponsors, stakeholders, and IT to facilitate, define, and document business processes, applying an advanced understanding of needs, measures, risks, and controls.
- Prepare the business for change by providing tactics and metrics for benefits, adoption, and risk, using existing change management routines as needed.
- Provide oversight across technologies used for development, testing, and controls.
- Coach and mentor other Product Owners, and lead development across multiple teams at the project or program level.
- Identify, measure, monitor, and control risks related to business activities in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree; or 4 years of relevant education and/or experience.
- 6 years of experience in process improvement, project delivery, business and requirements analysis, or directly related supported business operations or product line.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products, applicable databases, and product management tools.
- Advanced understanding of multiple software delivery methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall, and SAFe.
- Advanced experience analyzing business requirements, process flows, and use cases to identify opportunities to streamline processes in alignment with a risk management framework and regulatory requirements.
- Advanced knowledge and demonstrated use of Process Engineering methodologies.
- Strong independence in gathering requirements, developing business capabilities, writing user stories, and following the process through user story acceptance.
- Experience analyzing requirements to identify decision opportunities and process improvements aligned to risk management and regulatory requirements.

Work model and location
Hybrid in San Antonio, TX with an office requirement of 4 days per week. This position can also be based in San Antonio, TX; Plano, TX; Phoenix, AZ; Colorado Springs, CO; Charlotte, NC; or Tampa, FL. Relocation assistance is not available.
Compensation and eligibility
$103,450 - $197,730 per year. The actual salary may vary by location. Pay incentives may be available based on corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
