Digital Product Owner
Job Description
Regions is offering a role built around translating business direction into delivery-ready outcomes. This onsite position at Hoover, AL gives you the accountability to shape digital product direction, align investment to business value, and guide execution teams through requirements, metrics, and acceptance criteria. You will also support a culture that emphasizes risk-aware execution, disciplined change management, and continuous improvement across business and technology partners.
What you’ll do
- Represent business stakeholders to elicit, understand, analyze, document, refine, and communicate business needs so business and/or technical delivery teams can build effective solutions.
- Use customer needs, business vision, and strategy to prioritize investment and business value across delivery work.
- Serve as the day-to-day decision maker, providing continual business guidance for the execution team.
- Collaborate across evolving development approaches, including iterative Agile and sequential Waterfall programs and projects.
- Lead, manage, or orchestrate completion and proper documentation of business requirements and validate metrics in alignment with enterprise controls.
- Work with business and Information Technology delivery teams to identify and mitigate risks, including business operational risks.
- Bring expertise across a particular business or system domain, including influencing stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts.
- Partner with the Digital Strategy team and other stakeholders to understand and validate business strategy, vision, and customer needs.
- Facilitate and define business processes with sponsors, stakeholders, and IT, including understanding needs, measures, risks, and controls for improvement areas.
- Support benefits management by working with business process owners to develop metrics to track benefits, adoption, and operational risks.
- Assist with project-level planning related to schedule, scope, and resources.
- Lead, collaborate, and motivate cross-functional teams that include user experience partners, designers, business analysts, developers, testers, and others to develop, execute, and release in line with roadmaps.
- Manage and assess the impact of work items (new features, defects, and more), including decisions to create, fix, or defer at the project level.
- Review stakeholder feedback and new requirements, and review/accept development output to ensure specified acceptance criteria are met.
- Ensure compliance with risk management programs, rules and regulations, and cybersecurity practices, supporting process improvements and disciplined change management.
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree and five (5) years of relevant experience in process improvement, project delivery, business/requirements analysis, or business operations/product line
- OR High School Diploma/GED and nine (9) years of relevant experience in the same areas
- Advanced knowledge of multiple technical software delivery life cycles (Agile, Waterfall)
- Advanced knowledge of Business Management Methodology, Change Management practices, and Process Engineering methodologies
- Advanced ability to interpret and ensure compliance with applicable rules, regulations, and industry guidance
- Ability to supervise and manage a team; ability to manage multiple projects
- Strong analytical/problem-solving and research skills, with excellent communication and organizational skills

Compensation and scheduling
Pay range: USD 103,317 - 134,240 per year (job-specific ranges used as a market reference; actual pay varies based on experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, location, and performance). Job Range Target: Minimum $103,317.50; Median $134,240.00. This job may participate in an annual discretionary bonus plan.
This position is intended to be onsite in the near future. Regular work hours are expected, including full days in the office three or more days a week, with the manager setting the work schedule and in-office expectations.
Relocation/work authorization: Regions will not provide relocation assistance, and relocation would be at your expense. Regions will not sponsor work visas for this position at this time. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
Available locations: Birmingham, AL; Atlanta, GA; or Charlotte, NC. Location for this role: Hoover, Alabama (Riverchase Operations Center).
