Director of Product Operations, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI/ML)

Director of Product Operations for AI and ML leads ML operations and AI initiatives at Southern Glazer’s Wine and Spirits, overseeing deployment, monitoring, and performance optimization across Miramar and Dallas.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the design, adoption, and continuous improvement of ML operations practices and tooling to accelerate development, deployment, and monitoring of models.
• Regularly track model performance metrics and identify opportunities for further optimization.
• Partner with data science to establish automated hyperparameter tuning pipelines using standard industry tools.
• Recruit, mentor, and manage a high-performing data platform operations team, fostering innovation and collaboration.
• Develop and sustain cross-functional partnerships with data engineering, data science, IT, and business stakeholders.
• Keep abreast of trends in data management, ML operations, and cloud computing, driving adoption of industry best practices.
• May telework, but reside near the Miramar or Dallas office.
• Travel up to 10% domestically.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, electronic engineering, or related field (or foreign equivalent), plus 7 years of experience in a related or similar role.
• At least 7 years of experience in ML platform operations, including 4+ years in a leadership role.
• Knowledge of ML operations tools and frameworks, cloud platforms, security and compliance, risk management, CI/CD, strategic thinking and innovation, stakeholder management, and change management.
